Overall very good place. Staff was all nice. Shower houses weren't far from anywhere and were clean. The grounds were clean also. Only complaint is that they need wifi, because signal is terrible. Also the sites are no where near level. Which surprised me as busy as this place is.

We walked on several of the trails in the park. They have a nice surface for walking but a couple of bridges appear to have washed out several years ago and maintenance is needed. The swimming pool is closed and a park employee indicated it may never reopen. Very sad...
The loop road through the park is very nice and provides a pleasant drive. There is also very nice access to the Wabash River.
We couldn't catch an AT&T cell signal at our campsite strong enough to reach the internet.

This state park was easy to find. We arrived about 4:45 PM as their Sunday check in time is 5:00 PM. There were still campers coming out of the park. Check in was super easy thanks to a very nice ranger. We proceeded 3 miles into the park to the campground (CG) loop areas. We were offered pull through site 20 if we didn’t want our reserved site 22 that was a back-in with electric (50/30 AMP) only. Site 22 was an easy back-in and its a large site so we stuck with this site. We paid $23 per night, plus $5 transaction fee, and $3.22 tax for this site. Upon arrival we payed a one-time $9 (out of state) entrance fee. There are water spigots periodically spaced around the loops. Ours was about 55 feet from our site, which was convenient to fill our fresh water tank. There was a sign on the spigot not allowing splitters to connect for more permanent use. We were in one of the CG’s first loops, 16-28, that was pretty much empty during our two night’s stay Sun - Tue the first week week of June. We liked this loop’s privacy and space between sites. In the main campground areas (sites 60 - 100s) the RV and tent sites were closer together but we did notice that a few sites around 118 had electric and water. There were quite a few restrooms/shower facilities smartly placed throughout the CG loops. This state park was among the cleanest and well maintain that we have experienced during our journeys.

Recommend the labyrinth, the New Harmony Tour, and the hiking trails at the park. Some areas of the trail were washed out or had downed bridges. Lots of bugs including ticks. Interesting ground fungus that comes out in the rain. Saw racoons, cardinals, beech trees, sassafras trees. Want to visit Angel Mounds next trip.

This park is gorgeous! I needed a place to say to visit a family member in the Hospital in Evansville and this park was a great place to stay and relax after long day. Must of the park I didn’t explore, but they have a lot to offer. Bathrooms/showers are good, sites are good, and staff is very friendly! Learned that allergies are worse for most people in this area of the country so if you have allergies, be prepared. Bugs were also very active.

This was a really nice park for a one-night stay, passing through Indiana. Well layed out, not too crowded, good roads. Lots of trees to enjoy with plenty of shade. Bathhouse is showing its age but OK.

This was our first camping trip in our new 32ft camper. The staff was friendly and the camp host that was there was extremely friendly and helpful. They even helped me get my camper leveled up. The bath houses were not very clean and not well maintained. There were dead bugs trapped in spider webs and spiders everywhere. Also there were bird nests and dropping all over the place near the doors for bathhouse. And my last complaint was it had been raining quite a bit and it he area around our campsite was nothing but mud and the front corner of our site had 6-8” of standing water for most of the week. I will definitely pick another site next time and I think it’s great for short weekend trips but not ideal for longer stays.

We wished we could stay here longer! We were here mid week, so it was really quiet and peaceful. There was only 1 other camper in our loop. There are a lot of areas to explore and amenities like a swimming pool. We didn't know how big the Wabash River was! Lots of trails around this state park.
