September 2023 --easy to find on decent gravel roads. Just a small gravel parking lot. No amenities, I t was start of hunting season so there was some daytime traffic. Good spot for hiking or birding.

Another awesome conservation area in Missouri. Travel through the countryside to a well-maintained gravel road. A huge gravel turn around. The side by the sign is the flattest area. Hikers/ hunters came up in the morning but a peaceful quiet night. We heard the coyotes howling and saw tons of stars. We’re in a truck camper but the lot ... more

We’re in a truck camper but the lot and turn around seems large enough for most any size rig. Four bars of AT&T.

We pulled in late, around 130am. Nice open parking area with a sign that says camping. Some cow sounds from a nearby farm. No smells.

It’s basically a circle parking lot but very level. Only had a few teenagers dove hunting and once they left, we had it all to ourselves. The road is very narrow and rough near the end but you’re obligated once you start in. We have a 34’ fifth wheel and had no problem, plenty of room.

We stay here whenever we are in the St Joseph area. Quiet, a few hunters turn around and leave. A few late night kids disappointed they can't 'Park' here. A hiker every now and then. The granddaughters love to play around the pond and we enjoy a hike by the river. The sight is just a turn around gravel parking lot, very level. Road in is a little rough, but we have no problem pulling a 35' trailer in and out. NO ATT or Verizon signal at sight, need to drive to top of hill.
