in most places in the west fire BANS have been affected since like June 2020.. will be till more like dec or so.. every where we have been since aug.. SD, WY, ID, WA, OR, UT, has fire bans.. the west is or was burning from wildfires. so even is you see a firering does not mean you can have a wood fire.. LP firepits are ok.

I’d be surprised if that’s true. I remember seeing fire rings though I didn’t have a fire. There might be a BLM sign at the turn off from 89, but I didnt check and don’t remember. You could call the Kanab office. Only thing I can think is there might be fire restrictions due to weather.
