Absolutely no overnight parking. Close to road lots of noise. Might be good for a lunch stop.

Stayed for one night but next day code enforcement showed me that there is day use only.
It used to be 14 days but was closed due to abuse.

We almost didn't stay here because some of the people camping here seemed a bit sketchy. Most of the spots are parallel parking around a big loop, however there are a few back-in spots and we ended up in the one that backed up on (what we were told is) a fresh water spring.
We figured we'd stay the night and decide if we felt comfortable staying longer. The wildlife show out our back window was so spectacular it made up for the discomfort I felt walking through the campground.
My husband talked to one of the locals who comes here to fish and he said to make sure we lock everything up, he's had things stolen from his truck multiple times.
We saw a variety of birds including great egret and a green heron. We saw muskrats, a red duck and his girlfriend, a mama duck and her baby ducks and a water snake!
The noise from the highway and the train wasn't bad, but I was wearing earplugs.
During our stay some of the tenters got into a heated argument and got physical. I was happy to leave, and won't be returning.

It is basically just a large flat space with a few trees and picnic tables around the edges. You are right off Hwy 97 so there is road noise but that isn't an issue for us. Easy access on and off Hwy 97.

Park was closed after a very long day of driving. Likely due to Covid-19. Fortunately The travel center further north was open for overnight stays. Like previous reviews, sketchy people out and about when we drove by.
