Stayed here for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, they were working on the bathroom building at the rv section of the park. So, there was construction noise every day on the weekdays. On the weekends, the park is packed with families and fishermen. It is understandable as this is a public park with playgrounds. The rv section is not labeled, so if no rv's are there, it's easy to miss and drive by. I have a 35-foot bus and probably shouldn't have gone in here as there are small roads with steep hills and lots of tight turns. After hours is nice and quiet except for the constant traffic zooming thru all night. One night, there were vehicles doing donuts and throwing gravel. When people were there it wasn't loud. Everyone was respectful and nice. Even when there were large crowds, it wasn't loud at all. There is a really nice dog park on the other side of the park and it is a nice walk to get there. There are 3 trash cans for the 10 rv spots. They don't empty the can till you leave. The park is well kept and clean. This week, they have been cleaning up leaves and hauling them off. It's a nice stay, I just don't think I would stay as long next time. Internet was really good.
T-mobile Home Internet, 301 mbps download 20.1 upload with 4 bars. Verizon phone hitspot 3 bars 4g with 10 download and 1.2 upload. I stayed on wifi most of the time. The only sites semi level are 1 & 2.

Arrived for mtb bike weekend, sites had all been redone: new fire rings, graded and graveled sites. Friendly and helpful staff that weekend. Easy access to town to visit the NPS Fort Scott site that was doing live re-enactments of civil war era skills. Very interesting.

A lot of nice playgrounds. As stated previously the sites are very unlevel but the employee mentioned they were going to be leveled winter of 22.
It was a quick trip for us so we did not use any other amenities but they looked nice.

NEW PRICE $20 raised from $10. That would be OK if any sites were level and there was a sanitary dump. To level my 32' motorhome, the front tires were 3" off the ground. If the city wants to charge $20, they should fix the two short comings. Only sites 1 and 2 have 50amp. Be careful, the water pressure is excessive. I used my reducing ... more

The park itself is nice. Entrance is tight and roads are narrow and rough. Best to come from Horton street then up to 9th to get to the park.

We were traveling through and only stayed one night but definitely would stay here again. It was shady but we got a lot of tree sap on our Motorhome and tow vehicle. They have a nice small lake for fishing. The lot was large and the spaces are far apart. Cell service was good. Not many tv channels with just an antenna.

There are ostensibly 14 spots, but everyone takes up 2 spaces. It’s a really beautifully maintained park with fishing lake, frisbee golf, and a huge dog park. Water and electric, okay cell, somewhat level spots. I’d rate it higher but the pit toilet bathroom is just not usable.

Maybe 3 out of 10 spots you can get a larger rig in if you take up two places. Sites are all doubles. One other person in a 35' motorhome on a Sunday night. Roads were passable with a large rig, but would not try the park or campground with a large RV during anything but the off season. Park is used by locals playing disc golf. Kids enjoyed the multiple playgrounds. Stayed here to visit the Fort Scott historic site a mile away. 4 stars reflects having the place almost to ourselves and a nice view (and power for $10 on a cold night). Free dump station at the fairgrounds/tech center off Horton St. on the way out to the south.

I always appreciate a local city or county park. We usually only stay overnight and this park gets you off the road and away from traffic. $10 per night for RV and $5 for tent camping.
Approximately 10 RV and a good size tent area.
Water and 30 amp service to the RV spots.
Camping is adjacent to a small fishing pond.
