We read a few other reviews of this place on other sites and they were meh, just OK.
I wish I could give a 2.5 rating.
We needed a place to stay for a week and this was the only local rv park that had availability. When we booked, the farthest sites in- the back-in sites were the only ones available- we didn't realize it was Spring Break time here in Central Texas. But we are thankful that site 37 was one of the only ones available because it is tucked back near the river on a big grassy area. Not to be judgey, but the front part of the park- where many long term people stay is ugly. There are old buses, storage containers and some very run down RVs and vehicles with crap all over their sites. I would say this accounts for the front half of the park. All the people we had interactions with were very friendly and nice (except one kind of scary guy who flies a Confederate flag and plays very loud music). This park has great potential if they would just make the long term folks keep their rigs, autos, and sites clean. Our site in the back was often very quiet and beautiful. You can walk down to the river. The tent sites also seemed really nice (and separate from the ugly part of the park).

People came and went during our stay and were mostly friendly. We had a some noise trouble a few of the nights. One time it was a weekend group that was next to us- their music was just uncomfortably loud (we couldn't hear our TV over it) but at 10 we asked them to quiet down and they did.
The other time was a long term person who played some extremely loud rap music (the Confederate flag scary guy)- we were many sites away but, not only could we hear the foul words- we could feel the thumping of the bass. Several guests around us were also upset by the noise but we were all intimidated by the men in that site so no one wanted to talk to them. It went on for about 1-2 hours and then they drove out of the park.

We used the laundry room once- it only had 2 washers and 2 dryers and it was filthy and stinky. The washers had hair and gunk around the rubber seals, the sink was filthy as were the floors. We have traveled this country for well over a year now and I have to say this was the worst laundry room of them all (65 places we've stayed so far). I spent some time cleaning the washers before I used them and while the loads washed- I cleaned the sink, the dryers and dusted the tops of all machines because I couldn't stand it. The restroom/shower facilities that were nearest to our site looked like a run down shack. Inside the restroom looked like it had been remodeled but not finished. The sinks were very dirty, the stalls had curtains instead of doors which felt weird. Again, lots of potential- just needs finishing touches and someone to keep amenities clean. A little investment and love here could make this "off the beaten path" RV Park/Campground amazing and a "Must stay" place.
