Right off the highway, so there was some noise, but we slept great with ear plugs. Spacious campsites, tons of soft green grass, and perfect for dogs. Heard an owl. Used the fire pit and electric. Took a hot shower in the morning in a clean bathroom. All for $15? Beats staying at a motel for sure.

I was super skeptical of stopping here at first because the website and apps had little to no additional information, so I hope my review will help others traveling along Route 20. This is a really nice county camp right off 20. When you get off the exit the first right takes you directly to the lake for fishing etc. the second right takes you down a short gravel road to the camp. You self pay by filling out info on a paper they provide at the site posts or bathhouse. We stayed 1 night for $15. They have fire pits with cooking racks and a picnic table at each site. There is 30/50 amp hookups plus potable water and a dump station for overnighters. There is noise from the highway but it is distant so you barely notice. Lots of space on the gravel sites, some are pull in the rest are back in. Everyone was very friendly and we took our dogs with us. There’s a playground for kids and lots of grass for dogs! We have a smaller travel trailer but we saw a majority of the other people were all in big rigs and looked to be camping here for a bit probably fishing etc. the lake really is quite gorgeous. The bathhouse is nothing fancy but convenient. It’s a single room type bathroom w a lock and then there’s a shower in there too. Again nothing fancy but it was nice to have. I tried to take a couple pics when we were on our way out that I think will be helpful too.

Right off 20 in town of dike. Quiet and peaceful. Good cell service.

We were on 20 hoping to get to Dubuque this evening. Got hit by incredible rain and wanted to get off the road. This came up but not much info or reviews. Relying on past experiences with city and county parks we took a chance. A pleasant surprise and Godsend. And they had lots of openings on a Friday nite!! First come first serve, cash or check self-pay, very easy. Pay was at the first building in the loop. Many pull-thrus and lots of back-ins, all plenty long enough for motor homes and fifth-wheels without unhooking. Water and 30/50 at sites, dump station at main building. Easy walk to lake. There is restrooms but did not use them. Sites are huge, lots of room between rigs. Tables and fire rings. Easy access from Highway. Would stop again if in the area. Thank you to the Conservation Board for this nice park
