Question about Greys River Dispersed Camping

My sons and I want to fish the Greys river south of Alpine in Sept. It is a beautiful river. We want to stay a week. Where is the best fishing and camping. We will be in tents. I have 2 grandsons 9 yr old (twins). Although we love Trout fishing we also love camping with few people around. Can we have a campfire?

Greys was a beautiful area but it was over run with side by side’s. We only stayed for 1 night because the dust was so bad that we couldn’t open our windows in the RV.

Sorry, I don't fish and I am not familiar with the area, only with the Greys River Dispersed Camping Area, which would be suitable for a tent, I suppose. At this location, the river moves fast - rapids over rocks. There is one fire ring made of rocks in place. As I posted, it's busy with shooters using the one-lane firing range.
