My husband had a bad spill falling over that stupid rock! It is a hazard. Very tight sites.

After long day on the road, had booked this spot as a short one night stay. Arrived in somewhat late about an hour before sun down. First of all, very limited signage as to which way was where. I found the marked spot and proceeded to back in. This was ridiculously tight spot for what they said would fit a 30 foot RV. Anyway, I had no option but to drive on the grass and slowly back in. Complicating matters was a huge tree on one side of the site that was leaning deeply into the road on one side and a huge boulder/rock on the other side. Seriously, WHY????? Anyway, after 5-10 minutes of easing in there, I realize (as others have pointed out) they put the hook ups on the wrong damn side of the campsite!! So, anyway, to avoid going all night without my electrical hook up, I pulled back out, went back around and came back to pull in and park forward intead of backing in so I could access the electric. Swinging as wide as I could without hitting the boulder on the driver's side, I thought I was clear of the massive hanging trunk of a tree on the passenger side, but NO. As I pulled in, the trunk, scraped the top side of the RV which bent the awning and snapped off the cell booster mounted to the ladder. The awning was still usuable but eventually the fiberglass portion of the roof was starting to separate where the damage occurred. Clearly, given the other reviewers here, they simply don't care about the people's property or safety in this park. I'm not sure if it's because it's own by the state and thus a "state job" or what, but this was beyond negligent. At the very least, they should mark this site for tents or cut back the damn tree!! Not only is it a hazard for RV's, it will be a hazard in a severe lightning/wind storm one day and this lack of caring will not only destroy property but is likely to get somebody hurt. I really can't think of a positive thing to say about this place. Oh, and $53 for ONE NIGHT? I've stayed in many state parks for a quarter of the price with much better amenities and location that won't damage your vehicle due to negligence. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I'd rather stay in a Walmart parking lot. Safer and free without the headache!

We had a back in site but had to pull in as the utilities were on the opposite side of our Class B vehicle.

The site was horribly unleveled and i had to unhook to lower the front enough to get level - defeated the purpose of the pull-through site. The utilities were on the passenger side, I didn’t have a fire pit or table and there was almost no room between me and the next site. Thing is, if I could have gone in the other way, all would have been good - it may be that my table/fire pit was over there but it was unclear. Many of the sites seemed to be set up to enter from the other direction so they also were backwards. Lots of standing water so lots of bugs and mosquitoes $54 for the night including reservation fee - way too much. For that price, I want better

We stayed here for 2 nights in May 2023 in our travel trailer. First, the good points- sites are nicely spaced & grassy, mostly flat with plenty of large leafy trees providing welcome shade in this desert oasis right on the Green River. But we were disappointed in our site (#40) and would not recommend it. There was ugly trash in our fire ring and the site was cluttered with micro trash and food bits that we had to clean up before we could let our dog out. There were unleashed dogs in the park near us as well as a smelly stagnant ditch. The grass had not been mowed at our site in a while. One shower was "closed" for renovation and the other is in desperate need of renovation. The campground is far enough from the main highway to be quiet. Some sort of major construction is going on next to the golf course, but we were gone all day so heard no heavy equipment noise. This little park is in sad need of some attention. While here- visit the excellent John Wesley Powell River History Museum just down the road. Very interesting & well done!

Small park, small town but enjoyed my stay. Mostly shaded sites and mostly pretty level. About half the sites are pretty short (<30 feet) about half longer. Clean, well kept park but expensive (as are all Utah State Parks). But I did enjoy my stay and would stay again. Good Verizon and ATT signals.

I stayed her overnight, a quiet night's sleep, while passing through in mid-October the weather was wonderful and the level site was almost perfect, the ants being the exception. I treat those with Diatomaceous Earth as seen in the photo. Utilities can be far from site, I parked as close as possible and used much of my 25 foot power cord. Still a great place. AT&T LTE 4 bars.

We were in #19 and it was pretty level. Concrete to park on. Picnic table and fire ring. This park is next to a golf course so it was pretty quiet when we were here and it was not full at all. Perfect stopover on the way to Moab. Clean bathrooms and showers. Sites have water and electric. There is a dump station in the park and plenty of dumpsters for trash. ATT 4 bars LTE.

We got in last minute which was great (we’re boondockers but I needed to run ac while I troubleshooted some things). Awesome pull through spot with a slight river view which was also great. Friendly laid back staff. But the place regularly smelled of sewer (even when no one dumping and we were pretty far from dump) it was 105 degrees both days which could’ve factored in to the smell? Also a weird set up for a state park (just from other experiences personally) it is basically a campground with a boat ramp sandwiched between two sides of a golf course. No trails or anything that we found. Also, pretty tight for big rig as roads are narrow, turns are sharp and people park on road a lot. Would stay again for a quick overnight or two!! But that is my explanation for the 3 stars.
