This is a very small 'park' really only 4 sites but they are right on the shore. I'd say they were right on the water but the water was out farther than the camp spots. Anyway, the camp spots are really just gravel areas next to the parking lot. They have power and water hookups at each site and there is a dump station. I went on-line to book a spot and it said they were all taken but we went there anyway to see and sure enough they had 2 or 3 spots available. Not sure what's with that but it worked out fine for us. It's a short drive into Salt Lake City and we had fun looking around at Temple Square. We sat outside one evening and soon discovered the no-see-ems were busy feasting on our scalps. Too bad, it was nice sitting outside, for a while.

“Overall, not bad. Good access to Salt Lake City.”

To call this a State Park I think is a bit of a stretch. It’s a marina…with a handful of RV camping spots on the water. We stayed for 6 nights and were one of three campers over the weekend and the only one there during the week (May/June timeframe), so it was quiet. That said, starting at 7:15 AM until mid-afternoon 3 huge tour buses arrive each hour and unload around 50 foreign tourists each who proceed to walk around for about an hour taking pictures. The tourists mostly stayed down towards the water with their picture taking but there were times when they had no problem walking straight up to the trailer snapping pictures and peering in. I thought for sure a few of them would open the door and walk right in. It was hard not to feel like zoo animals. Internet was good, showers were clean and all the park staff was super friendly. We needed to be close to Salt Lake City during our stay and the trip into town was pretty quick with never any traffic problems. Overall, not bad.
