We where a little disappointed as we wanted to have a campfire but did not want to upset any of these locals.

There is a decent rest area directly off the highway on a dirt Pad but there is also dispersed camping available. Open the gate and go down the dirt road to the right about a quarter of a mile are many secluded dispersed campsites.

This was a great overnight stop. Close to hwy 93. Lots of traffic, mainly trucks, late into the evening. Traffic started to return about 4. Only ones there. No one bothered us. Nice view of the snow covered Humbolt Range.

Big gravel lot, so lots of traffic noise but big rig friendly and beautiful scenery. Great cell service.

Easy to access, we were the only people there all night until about midnight a trucker must’ve stopped in but he pulled far enough away from us that it didn’t cause any issues. Some traffic noise but very manageable. Cell phone reception between two and three bars. Were able to do a zoom meeting which was wonderful! The views were beautiful wish we could’ve seen some animals but love staying at this spot for a night. Give four stars only because of road noise.

Nobody here on a Friday night when we stayed over. There's a fence that you can open up and head back to with possible spots but we didn't bother. Saw a herd (pack?) of mule deer cross over at the Wildlife crossing. Pretty quiet through the night with only a few passing semis. It's a little tough getting level but if you park long ways... more

Really, it's just a gravel parking lot used by truckers, not particularly level, and lots of road noise . Trash cans, and a kiosk with interpretive sign. Verizon was slow. Lots of wasps. Better off at Alamo Casino, 6 mi south in Wells.
