We had a waterfront site it was big, private, shade and electric. There are 4 good waterfront sites and others with a water view. We filled with water when we entered the park. This park is great for kayaking, fishing, hiking and relaxing in a beautiful place. There is a nice fish cleaning station very clean.
There are 8 lakes in this park with kayak access to 4 of them. There is a 5 mile loop drive around the lakes with birds, otters, beavers, swans, loons, deer and more. We had a Chipmunk that would lay on this tree in our site and warm up in the sun every morning, it was fun to watch it.
We fished the lakes in our kayak and did pretty good. Crappie, bass and panfish.
The drive into Pelican Rapids is nice needed groceries and gas. The do sell firewood also a place heading into town off the side of the road sells bundles.
There is a boat-in- site on Beers lake that’s nice and private. Good fishing on this lake and smaller motor boats are allowed. Lida lake is the biggest lake, bigger fish yet lots of boats.
There is a horse camping area and nice horse trails around the lakes.
Love this park we will go back and stay longer.

Very spacious sites; the best ones in the main campground (with electric) are along Grass Lake (7,8,15,16) but all would be decent sites. Well marked hiking trails. Clean restrooms and showers. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. However, if you take the figure 8 hike around Cataract and Grass Lakes, it IS longer than the two miles advertised! The only warning (we were warned upon arrival) is to watch for tics. I found two on me.
