“Tight Travel Trailer Campsite”

Reviewed Sep 16, 2017

Overall Rating

Actual stay August 22, 3 nights. Price is $29, with senior pass we paid $14.50 per night. Our 29 ft travel trailer was a tight fit. The campsite has a fire pit and picnic table. The campground has a dump station and potable water near the check in area. No hookups, dry camping. 2 showers were included each night stay. Laundry faciliti... more

Generally a great campground with great amneties...most sites are fairly level if a little cramped....only complaint are the mosquitoes but that can't be avoided since the site is on Yellowstone Lake

“A pretty wooded campground along Yellowstone Lake”

Reviewed Oct 05, 2016

Overall Rating

This campground is another template of the villages and campgrounds throughout Yellowstone. All have the same general stores with the same groceries and souvenirs, the same gas stations, and the same campgrounds. They are all nicely done with architecture that blends in with the forest surroundings and provide amenities to make the s... more

“Ok national park campground.”

Reviewed Apr 19, 2016

Overall Rating

Ok national park campground near the lake but our site was very small, under power lines and across from the bathrooms so we would like to have had a different site. The staff at the check in station had no clue about the campground.

“Favorite park in Yellowstone ♥ ♥”

Reviewed Apr 23, 2015

Overall Rating

This is my favorite place to stay in Yellowstone. Just like the other no-hookup campgrounds, it's wooded and serene. The difference here is you can wander through the woods and then right down to the lake, where the view is simply breathtaking. The shower facility is well-maintained, and there's a nice laundry that's easy to swing by o... more

“Terrible Check-In”

Reviewed Oct 24, 2013

Overall Rating

We had a terrible check-in experience here. The Xanterra employee didn't realize he was supposed to give us a separate spot for our truck, so when we returned to the office to tell him we didn't fit in our spot he told us to go look at 2 other spots to see if either of those would work for us. We picked one, unhitched and Brian wen... more
