First of all, when checking in, the office/store reeks of cat urine. I could barely breathe, and she is not speedy, so I was in there a while.
Then, the electricity was inadequate. She tried to blame it on my rig, but two different guys checked it out and confirmed that it was the campground, not me. I also spoke with an electrician friend who said it had to have been something on their end, not mine. Bottom line is, it was well over 90 degrees out and although I was paying for 50amp service, I could only use the smaller of my 2 AC units.
I’m a reasonable woman and have appropriate expectations when the rate is $25 or $30, but at $60 my expectations are a little higher.

We pulled in for a one night stay while passing through the area. We would not stay here again, we should have kept going or stayed at the Love’s right off the exit. They allow overnight parking. Staying there would have saved us ALOT of money and frustration.
Here are some of the issues.
1. Price-we were charged 63.02 for one night with good Sam discount. We have 2 adults and 4 children, 2 of which are not potty trained. So either the rates have gone up significantly or she charged for all 4 of our children. Way overpriced especially since it’s off-season…
2. Some spaces are not marked-We were given our site number but several of the sites are missing numbers so I had to walk around to figure out which site she booked us in.
3. Office-the office was extremely disorganized and chaotic. The person checking us in wasn’t there when we arrived. When she did show up and walked me to the office, one of her phones rang and then she began having two different phone conversation during our check in process. It took way longer than it should have to check us in and get us on our way. After a long drive, the last thing we wanted to hear about was all the local drama and her other business deals. I would expect more professionalism.
4. Animals-Two little dogs roamed the property freely and the cat inside the office climbed all over the counters and even sat on the map of the campground that I was given and wouldn’t move for me to get it. Which also might have helped with knowing where we were to park. Also, while we were backing our rig in, one of the little dogs came up and walked underneath the back of our camper, he could have very easily been run over if I wasn’t back there and guiding the camper in. The dogs being unleashed and roaming is a safety risk for them and a liability for others.
Again, if we would have known we would be paying this much for this spot, we would have kept going or stayed at the Love’s down the road.

After walking into the office the first thing I noticed was a lack of organization. Hey I get it, not all parks are spotless. The office person on the phone was talking to a a customer while trying to check someone in with a pre-existing reservation.
About 15 minutes later that couple walked out and it was my turn to check in. I gave her my information for my reservation and she handed me an information sheet to fill out, no problem. Than the phone rang and she was making another booking while I was standing there waiting. I could hear the conversation because she had her phone on speaker three foot away from me.
She than preceded to take the future customers credit card information while I listened to the whole thing. This is a big deal considering how sensitive people are about their identity and rightly so.
Improvement: Train your staff to be discreet with customer information!
She got off the phone and gave me a map of the site and my sight number. Than she walked me outside and pointed across the lot to my spot and told me the sites are not marked so just pull in, no worries.
Improvement: The numbers on your facilities map needs to match your campground spots!
I backed into my sight and was glad it was level as most were not. The first thing I noticed was the 30 amp plug in the power box was so loose fitting that my plug fell out until I shut the cover on it. The power box is one foot off the ground so my power conditioner was laying in the dirt in a low spot so when it rains the water would cover it. I blocked the power conditioner off the ground and moved on.
Improvement: I am not an electrician but this does not seem proper.
The sewer lines drops in most sights are right at ground level so not good when it rains.
Improvement: The sewer drop perhaps need an extension?
The sights do have trees but very little shade and the grass is mostly dead.
Improvement: It’s a dry area so perhaps do something more sustainable like gravel and xeriscape.
All went well the first night and we had a welcome rest. We did laundry the next day in their updated shower, restroom, laundry facility. Nice machines but no AC and the outside temp was 97 degrees. Word to the wise do your laundry late at night this time of year.
Improvement: This area of Montana gets hot so maybe a small AC unit in the laundry house would help?
This place has a lot of potential but it needs some better facility management!
Would not stay here again.

Went to check in at office and could not no one was there. The office itself looked rundown and had no siding and needed a lot of work. We paid for a pull thru site and those sites looked awful and your view was rundown trailers. We called and asked for a refund that was not given. We decided to keep driving, booked a reservation in Billings KOA which gives 4 stars on Campendium. Losing the money wasn't worth it because we didn't want anything stolen. Keep driving do not stay there!

It was interesting hearing about what they are doing to improve the campground. Part of the campground is for monthly stays. We stayed closer to the office. The bathroom is renovated and suitable for a shower. We heard highway noise at night. It was the highest-priced place we stayed with the least cleanliness. 7th mountain is much better, but it was closed for the season.

Gas-Diesel-Convenience store right across the driveway entrance. (Diesel $3.17 Aug 2021 - cheapest in town.) Owners are remodeling the office & store, once finished it will be excellent. If any major improvement could be done would be to put a good concrete barrier fence between the camp & the ratty trailer park next door. A lot of TLC can still go into this camp as all camps, but this is great for the little time we stayed.

I'm a single lady that travels with her animals and also found it to be a very safe place to be.The camp has excellent laundry facilities and men's and women's showers and rest rooms, all were very clean I was surprised to see that the grass was nice and green considering the heat wave Montana was having, the grounds were well kept and Laurie and her staff were very nice and accommodating.I would stay there again.

Reserved a 50 amp pull through site. Drive in and it’s next to a rat infested trailer court. Was not sure where to check in even though signs pointed to a run down shack/store? Opened door and it was mind blowing. Hoarders mess with no organization or cleanliness. Older woman at front desk had piles or disarrayed paperwork not sure if we had paid( we did online). Other heavy woman( owner?) told us she was going to put us into a back in site. She explained “ best site on property”. NOT. This site 20 has her pump house and plug-in for pump in that electric site. Sent husband in to get what we paid for. 25 mins later, she said to follow her cart to pull through site. I start driving around a bend following her and she comes racing towards me telling me to stop! She explained someone is camping on pull through road and that we would have to back in. I was too exhausted to leave.
Took 1 long hr to set up due to deep ruts/uneven site of loose big rock gravel.
Bathrooms were disgusting with no privacy on stalls. Dirty, dilapidated.
Laundry was worse. See pictures.
Game room was a shed with pool table, storage of freezers, bbq’s and again dilapidated, dirty.
We are looking to leave early and loose money as there is nothing to do in town. No pool, no green grassy areas, cigarette nuts, overflowing garbage everywhere. Disgusting run down place that need the health dept to close it down.
Of btw, even though you pay that overpriced fee for free WiFi and cable tv….. it’s non existent.
Do yourself a favor and drive to Billings or Big Timber for safer, cleaner campgrounds. Do your reviews to save other campers from this sad situation of this owner ripping people off.

Located on the edge of Hardin, MT is this nice place to rest for a while. Full hook ups with good tasting city water. Clean bathrooms & hot showers. AND beautiful sunsets too!! No WIFI yet, but my T-mobile hot spot worked just fine. Owner is a great gal willing to go that extra mile for a customer making you feel at home. I’ll be back.
