We were passing through the area and called to see if there was any availability. Tammy was very kind and we booked over the phone about 3 hours away. When we arrived at the campground, which was easy to find, we were escorted immediately to our site for the night. After setting up we went to the office and was met by another young woman who was just as kind checking us in. The campground was very clean and even though the sites were close to one another that did not matter to us as we were only here for a night. They have a great small store with many things and there is live music every night and food for purchase for breakfast and dinner. A great place to stay and when in the area again would not hesitate to stay here. Might possibly visit again next year when we have time to sightsee.

We did go to Broadway in Nashville, but it sure has changed from three years ago. The crowds are stifling, so we spent most of our time at the campground. They serve pizza every evening and it isn't bad.
If trains running next to the park could bother you, don't come here. It didn't bother us.

This is a tough one. The park staff/owners(I'm guessing) are super helpful and friendly. Had nothing but good encounters with them. The park itself is very well maintained, great green space out front for walking the dogs. This brings me to a negative, no fenced in dog park. We have two big silver labs and a little dog which didn't have a place to get off leash in the park. Thankfully there is a nice dog park about 2.5 miles away. The second thing is, not one doggy drop box anywhere. There are a lot of dogs here but you have to make a run to the dumpster with your doggy bags.
Our site #125 was on the end of a loop with not a lot of grass. When it rained it got muddy and our maps ended up under water partially. There's plenty of train noise day and night, I guess we got used to it but add to that the road noise and it gets to be a bit much over 10 days or so that we were there. Most of the sites are pretty tight so don't go expecting a lot of room. Our 35' 5th wheel took the entire pad up so I had to park the truck behind it which left it open to close calls with folks leaving the loop with their RV's.
The park is within 30 minutes of downtown and our Uber ride each way was around $35 dollars even in the late evening coming back that was a plus. It's only 17 minutes to The Grand Old Opry. We did take in a show and had a great time. To be honest downtown/Broadway has changed since I was here last, 10 years ago. It's more like Orlando full of tourists, $16 dollar cocktails, $54 dollar parking. Found a $8 dollar garage and almost got the truck stuck, we gave up and left. 20 minute waits to get into the bars. IDK just wasn't the fun time I expected from my last visit. If your going I'd say go during the week and skip the weekend crowd. Oh and the other thing, Nashville traffic is just as bad as Orlando. I'll pass. Even around Goodlettsville it's heavy.
Work From Home Factor:
Had good overall 5G cell service as you can see below but did have some low upload speeds which killed my wife's Teams communications, Starlink ended up being what we used for her and I was able to work pretty well off the cell service. Not sure what happened to the low upload speeds as it was intermittent. Could have been deprioritized at the tower. Startlink saved the day here for working from the RV. The Starlink speeds were like 300 Mbps down and 90 Mbps up.

So to sum up the RV park. I'd stay again as the other close to downtown options are not as desirable as this one. Once again the owners/staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

There’s a city park nearby (Mansker Creek Park) with a 1-mile loop walking trail that’s dog-friendly, and we also explored Percy Warner Park and Shelby Bottoms Greenway.
There’s no clear process for check-in. Enter directly from the highway to the drive (don’t turn onto Old Springfield Pike). Most folks just park in the drive next to the main building.
Although other reviewers commented about the train right next to the campground, it didn’t bother us. There’s no whistle, just the rumble of the trains coming by.
Bathrooms in the main building were very clean - three showers and two toilets on the ladies side. Four washers ($2.00) and four dryers ($0.25 for 5-6 minutes). The daily live music was a nice touch, and not a nuisance elsewhere in the campground (we wondered if it would be loud or piped throughout the campground, but that wasn’t the case). There are full-time residents here, but unlike other campgrounds we’ve stayed like that, all the rigs are well-kept.
Verizon speeds 170-300 Mbps up, 3-12 down; AT&T 8-17 up, 5-7 down (varied by time of day)

The staff was super friendly and accommodating even though we arrived 10 min before the office closed. Breakfast in the morning was super tasty and easy, and fast! Would definitely stay here again on a trip through town or recommend it to friends.

Not sure we’d stay here again as there are better campgrounds but we enjoyed our stay while we were here. It’s also one of the most beautiful drives to a drag strip just 10 minutes away. Even if there’s not a drag race, I’d recommend making the drive anyway.

We were able to take a 1-mile walk, all gravel going around the campground, it would not have been safe to walk on the highway. The sites were very small, the train ran all night about every 2 hours, and road noise was a constant. There was music outside in the evening, but we did not particularly enjoy that - to us, it only added to the noise. The bathhouse was clean enough but had poor lighting except in one stall. We did not use the breakfast or dinner services, as we do all of our own cooking. We met only two people, one man directing people to their site and the woman assigning the site, so not much interaction there. Even though there is not really room for campfires, people had them, so we had to close up and use AC. It is hard to comment about access from I-65 as we drove on country roads from Cottontown to get to Hwy 41.

Without going into great detail, ask yourself, why would KOA revoke their brand from this campground. We found this park to be small and lacking in many of the amenities that we are used to at a true camping resort. If your going to Nashville, there are so many closer RV resorts that have a lot nicer facilities.

I knew this place would be great. Didn’t feel the sites were to tight. They were later out in a weird configuration. Everyone was so nice. About 20 min to downtown. $20 Uber ride. If we ever make it back this way I don’t think I would consider any place else. The nightly music was awesome.

Looking for CG closer to Nashville. Wasn’t our first choice, but contacted this outfit through their website to check availability and reserve a site for multiple days. Felt like a refugee in Casablanca, ‘cause all we did was wait, and wait, and wait… But no one ever bothered to reply. Careless — or is it they were full and just could care less? Still, politeness would dictate letting us know. So rating this park Zero, Nil, Nada on customer service. And here’s the question: If they can’t be bothered to respond to customers looking to spend their time, trouble, and hard-earned money to stay at their campground, how well do you think you’ll be treated if and when they get your money? Just sayin’…
