The staff was super friendly and accommodating even though we arrived 10 min before the office closed. Breakfast in the morning was super tasty and easy, and fast! Would definitely stay here again on a trip through town or recommend it to friends.

Though you’re packed in like sardines, they make up for that with live music every night, beer in the fridge and (for a small fee) breakfast in the mornings. Not sure we’d stay here again as there are better campgrounds but we enjoyed our stay while we were here. It’s also one of the most beautiful drives to a drag strip just 10 minutes away. Even if there’s not a drag race, I’d recommend making the drive anyway.

Admittedly, we like the State Park feel when we camp and there is none of that here. We were able to take a 1-mile walk, all gravel going around the campground, it would not have been safe to walk on the highway. The sites were very small, the train ran all night about every 2 hours, and road noise was a constant. There was music outside in the evening, but we did not particularly enjoy that - to us, it only added to the noise. The bathhouse was clean enough but had poor lighting except in one stall. We did not use the breakfast or dinner services, as we do all of our own cooking. We met only two people, one man directing people to their site and the woman assigning the site, so not much interaction there. Even though there is not really room for campfires, people had them, so we had to close up and use AC. It is hard to comment about access from I-65 as we drove on country roads from Cottontown to get to Hwy 41.

“No Longer a KOA”

Without going into great detail, ask yourself, why would KOA revoke their brand from this campground. We found this park to be small and lacking in many of the amenities that we are used to at a true camping resort. If your going to Nashville, there are so many closer RV resorts that have a lot nicer facilities.

I knew this place would be great. Didn’t feel the sites were to tight. They were later out in a weird configuration. Everyone was so nice. About 20 min to downtown. $20 Uber ride. If we ever make it back this way I don’t think I would consider any place else. The nightly music was awesome.

I've stayed here 3 times now and it is one of our favorite places - in fact going again in September. Train noise? Man I love listening and watching that train go by us - reminds me of wife's hometown where trains ran night and day! The sites are close and their are some permanent campers too. But all the people who run the place have that southern hospitality. The live music at night is pretty good. The breakfasts and dinners are usually very good. We are walkers and there is not a lot of room to walk. One word of advice I haven't seen in all the reviews is take the Lawman's tour (brochure on the main desk) He was backstage security at Ryman and the Grand Old Opry. Also a policeman in Nashville. Tour was worth it - you'll learn much about Nashville. He also showed us where the free parking is at the Grand Old Opry which saved us money. I also recommend the Grand Old Opry and Ryman Auditorium ($30 with free picture) tours....

Sure the spaces were a little tight, but this park is fantastic. Super close to Nashville. Had live music every night. Incredibly helpful staff. Had a fantastic time and would def stay again as a Nashville base.

The Grand Ole RV Resort is a nice park to stay in near all the fun and sightseeing of Nashville, Tennessee. The campground is very tidy and well-kept. There are a lot of grassy areas for your dog and large shade trees to relax under. The office doubles as a restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner daily. They also sell snacks and basic RV supplies. The campground does not have a lot of amenities, but makes up for it with live nightly music! What a treat when you are visiting “Music City!” The sites are 30/50 amp FHU and pretty tight. We are literally parked less than 2 feet from our neighbor, so if you don’t like close quarters, this is probably not the right park for you. We enjoyed our stay here, though, and would stay here again when in the area. 👍🏻😊

Although $50 is more than we like to pay for an overnight stop, there are limited options near Nashville close to I-65, and this was very convenient. The "resort" is mostly open gravel and grass with a major road on one side and railroad track on the other. Thankfully we sleep hard in a fairly well-insulated trailer so that noise doesn't bother us much. As others have said, the people are all nice, and if you wanted to take advantage of hot breakfast (8-10 am) or supper with live music (5:30 - 7:30) that could be a good perk. Although it looked pretty full, we were able to get one of their pull-through sites which is helpful because we like to stay hitched up for one-nighters.

Booked for a quick stay to visit family that lives near by. Friendly staff and easy check in, even allowed early check in for additional $10 ($10.93 w tax). Will stay here again next time in the Nashville area. T-Mobile Home Internet speed was 5G @ 220Mbs down 12Mps up.

Looking for CG closer to Nashville. Wasn’t our first choice, but contacted this outfit through their website to check availability and reserve a site for multiple days. Felt like a refugee in Casablanca, ‘cause all we did was wait, and wait, and wait… But no one ever bothered to reply. Careless — or is it they were full and just could care less? Still, politeness would dictate letting us know. So rating this park Zero, Nil, Nada on customer service. And here’s the question: If they can’t be bothered to respond to customers looking to spend their time, trouble, and hard-earned money to stay at their campground, how well do you think you’ll be treated if and when they get your money? Just sayin’…
