“Beautiful Campground in the Codroy Peninsula Wetlands”
Reviewed Nov 22, 2018
This was a beautiful well kept campground close to the ferry port. We stayed the first night we arrived in Newfoundland and it was a great starting point.
The staff was kind and helpful and there was a band playing music for labor day weekend. They provided us with a map of the Codroy Valley Scenic Drive. It was very helpful and started us on our Newfoundland adventures.
Although we really loved the Grand Codroy RV Tent Camping Park, we were on a tight budget because of the hefty cost of the ferry. We had to move on mainly due to the cost and the lack of cell network at campground. We would definitely stay again.
Some of the Campground and sights around the valley can be seen in these two videos:

“Truly Gods Country”

Alice & Denis and their son Jason have made this an amazing home for the summer, the campground is clean, spacious, well kept and friendly, although a high number transient because of its location to the ferry terminal.
This park has been in family for many years, all the free firewood you can use, clean comfort stations, the laundry on site, a craft shop on site ran by Arleen, with all the local treasures.
Cellular service is not strong, and the free wifi in the campground is slow but sufficient for email but no streaming your shows
But the Valley offers so much from great kayaking to sand beaches or just the sunsets and the quiet are great
