When we booked here, we made an assumption (I know, I know), that the train track that ran by the RV park was the Grand Canyon Railway train. We figured it would run during the day and maybe an evening dinner run, so noise would not be a problem. Wrong! At least 4 trains passed during the night, and, being that the park is in the middle of Williams, the whistles blow all the way through town. Bad news for us because we had had a very tough driving day coming in.
That said, the facilities were pretty good. Registration has a camp store, a kennel, and a very helpful lady at the desk. It was going to be below freezing, and she made sure that we knew to remove our water and sewer hookups overnight. (Their pipes are heated so no problem there. Terrific coin-operated laundry (not a single machine out of order) and spotless bathrooms, easy to find your spot. We are kind of new at this and we found backing-in a little tight, not in the camp spaces but in the space between rows of campers. Might not be a problem for everyone.

This is a nice campground close to the heart of Williams. Paved, level sites with full hookups. Only drawback is the train tracks run next to the park.

Pull-through 50 amp FHU pavement pad with gravel site.
Sites: A bit tight with about an 8-10 ft patio width. Concrete pad that is fairly level. Patio area is gravel.
Campground Road: Pavement.
Campground WiFi: Could not work on a vpn from campground wifi but could stream a movie late at night once most folks went to sleep.
Grounds: Clean and maintained well.
Bathrooms/Showers: Really nice showers but not a private locked room which we always prefer.
Laundry: Nice laundry facilities.
Location: 1 hour from Gand Canyon NP South Rim visitor center.
Near highway: Yes
Near train: Yes
Cell: Verizon can work on a vpn and stream shows. Meetings on Zoom we a bit glitchy.
Cell: AT&T was a bit stronger than Verizon and was able to stream, work, and have meetings no problem.

This camper van park is very large. Full hookups which allows you to connect to electricity and water.
Due to the temperatures at the end of October, where it was cold in the evening, we were able to turn on the heating in the camper van.
Clean toilets and showers.
Possibility of using the swimming pool (because the campsite is part of a complex with a hotel)
We went for a walk in Williams, a picturesque town on historic Route 66, where we found some nice and inexpensive souvenirs to take back to France.
During the night, we only heard 1 train passing, which transported us to Western films so quite pleasant for us.

Very friendly staff, and a kennel is right on site. Very close to historic rte 66. Have to go to the Goldie’s restaurant for breakfast! Only downfall is train tracks right next to grounds, but trains are not continuously running. If i can sleep through the night, you can.

Oh and be sure to eat at the Grand Canyon Brewing Company that’s across the street, it’s really pricey but great atmosphere.

Arrival - Super easy with great communication prior to arrival. Registration area had easy pull-through entrance and exit to RV park. Staff super friendly and informative. Registration area abuts the pet boarding facility and kids playground.
Tips - There are only 4 registration pull-throughs so, be prepared to park off-site to register if you are arriving during congested periods or with a caravan. Bridge parallel to registration site leading into the hotel parking and train depot is only rated for 5-tons so, traveler beware. Make sure to get your fuel in Flagstaff prior to arriving or, you'll pay a great deal more. Suggest a site AWAY from the train tracks. Unless you cannot see GCNP any other way, DO NOT waste your time or money on any of the bus tours in GCNP associated with the train!
Favorites - Super clean RV park with decent sites (a little close for my taste). Great amenities associated with the park, hotel, and train (make sure to do your research or, you'll miss out). Train ride to the GCNP was a bucket list item for me. Williams, AZ is a nice, albeit tourist-driven, little Route 66 town.
Negatives - Distance between sites. Freight train noise if you're close to the tracks; train seems to run at all hours. I love train sounds but, this was off the hook.

It's a giant, well-organized park with all the amenities you could want. Very little privacy and very little character. There is some train noise, but I didn't find it particularly bothersome. It's an easy walk to downtown Williams, which is a very nice perk.

And there’s a golf cart tram service to ferry you and your party over and back.—just call from the laundry room to request a ride. The driver was delightful!
The RV park itself is not much more than a blacktop parking lot with pull thru and back in sites, each one with full hookups and room on the side for a picnic table. The neighbors were only about 20 feet away. There is a centrally located bathroom/laundry room. It was very clean, and the showers were nice with decent pressure and warm water for about 10 minutes.
Of course the main appeal to this place is its proximity and access to the Grand Canyon. It is located right in downtown Williams, AZ with lots of shops and restaurants on the other side of the train tracks. Unfortunately these are active train tracks and they butt right up next to the RV park. We were awakened at 1:30am, 3:00am, and 4:30am by freight trains. I don’t know how anyone could have slept through what we heard. I understand wanting to take the train ride to the Grand Canyon and back, but next time we will sleep elsewhere. Bring some earplugs!
