Apple maps sent to wrong area, access from I-10 only. Nice stop for a quick pic of a welcome Alabama sign but no dump or overnight parking.

You need your own sewer hose and rinse hose, but everything works! :) There is a trash can, but it's a few steps away from the dump port, so I couldn't reach it without dropping the wheelchair. If you have functioning legs, you won't have to step out into the roadway to reach it. Easy in and out.

“Dump station closed ”

As of January 2021, both dump stations were out of service. Plenty of fresh water hoses to use throughout picnic tables though, close enough to the curb to fill our fresh water tank. Super quiet for a rest stop and had a good nights sleep here. There are signs that say no overnight parking but we didn’t have an issue.

Used the dump station on our last leg home and although a bit primitive, no water at the site, the Welcome Center is well lit and very nice. Lots of parking and overflow parking, with great potential as a free overnight spot. Restrooms and welcome center are very nice.

Not sure why this gem is not on Campendium yet. Rest areas are generally noisy and not our preferred stop while traveling but this one is far from your average rest area. the welcome center is architecturally beautiful and the parking areas huge with several paved and well lighted parking lots for cars, RV's and Semi-truck parking but No trouble finding quiet areas to park and rest. 2 Dump stations and plenty of water spigots to refill the tanks, vending machines inside, trash receptacles, during daytime hours friendly folks running the welcome area inside and running around day and night (security?) This is probably one of the nicest rest areas we've been too. Now some of the bad (Dont worry not that bad but...) So my only complaints could be the locations of water spigots, oddly placed and most will take longer hoses to refill water for RV's, no water spigot at the dump station? nope and the careless people dumping have made a mess of the area with no way to clean it up, The lights in the parking and really around the whole place are bright! finding a dimly lit area to sleep at night is tough (great for security though so a trade off) Parking area is quite large and speed of vehicles driving through was pretty bad and one last thing, there is a sign stating "NO Overnight parking" at one of the main parking areas and I asked inside about this, they said "parking overnight is not a problem just no camping" We were here 2 nights (Unexpectedly) and never had anyone say anything, we were quite comfortable staying here and would again! Cheers, OE (Cell coverage 2 bars 4glte t-mobile, 3 bars 4glte ATT) Giving 5 stars and we never give rest areas 5 stars
