We stayed one night it was very quiet and had lots of shade. The bathrooms and showers need updating and could be cleaner.
I would return.

Easy off highway location. Not too much noise. Arrived Thursday and were the only ones here. By Friday night it was almost full. Sites are smallish and pretty uneven.

Small quiet park very close to the interstate. Would stay here again.

Great little campground nestled in the forest just off i70! Stayed for 1 night traveling from Colorado to Ohio. What an amazing respite from the days travels. Beautiful, quiet and sites were available on July 4th weekend.

I generally use 3 stars to represent an above average campground.
Yes all the sites are somewhat unlevel…some more than others. We stayed at site 45 and it was fairly level side to side. Did not require any blocks, etc. I’d say the sites around the 40-45 area appeared to be the best.
Heavily wooded park and campground. Great shade. Shower house was above average. On site host was very friendly. Firewood bundle was $5.
Very convenient location if you’re traveling I-70. The CG is plenty far enough away from the Interstate. I have a hard time believing you could complain about traffic noise.
There are a few hiking trails, but we did not do them. We would stay here again. We stay primarily at state parks during our travels and I would rate this CG as above average. Nothing spectacular or fancy, but we greatly appreciate shade trees, a clean shower house, and a place to sleep. This CG met those needs.

Electricity was available in the electric sites. Water was still available at the dump station. The main bathhouse and bathrooms are closed for the season. There is a pit toilet available in the campground and it was clean with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. There are also a couple of nice pit toilets available in the two picnic areas.

The campground is heavily wooded and clean, but hasn’t been updated recently. The host was great, friendly and quickly dealt with any issues we had. We use our own bathroom in our camper, but the shower house looked clean and functional. The dump station is pretty basic. We liked site 45, it backed to the woods and was extra wide thanks to the nearby trail head. Paved, but not level, either side to side or front to back. Big rigs might have trouble with the curvy road and trees.

Only used park as stop over. Park is beautiful. Site was clean and level. Restrooms needed attention: ran out of toilet paper though camp was almost deserted. Sink area was dirty and wet. Showers have no benches or hooks inside individual stalls. Only a shower caddy inside each stall and a long bench outside the stalls.

“Empty Campground, Would Not Let Me Stay!”
noted 8/12/2023
Tons of empty sites, called per the signs to make a res. Guy said 2 night minimum on weekends. This was absolutely absurd since there were about 75% empty sites and many of them had a little signs on them that said vacant tonight only. I told the guy I’m willing to pay and this place is mostly empty. Total bullshit
