Great place for a one-nighter. Quiet, even though we were right next to the airport. Full hookup, with a small grass area next to the pad. I fully recommend, but was a little surprised at the price. I guess I figured perhaps we’d get a slight break on the fee considering it’s limited to active duty and retired only. Oh, well.

Had to go into Boise City for food and other stuff as I never found anything on base except the gym and the track. There is some airfield noise but nothing disturbing as the RV AC drowns out any outside noise anyway. Power was good, water was good, and site G was level concrete. Weeds needed to be pulled on site gravel separating sites as they were waist high and interfered with slide outs and walking around the back of the rig. Looked like the other sites that were occupied were long-term as they appeared to have lots of stuff out. The pad fit my 31' travel trailer nicely but I had to disconnect my truck and parallel park it on the street as there was only room for the TT. The adjacent Site F had a 5th Wheel and the truck pulling it was parallel parked in front of it leaving me about 12" of clearance to back my TT into position.
Would recommend, minus one star for the price (but everything is expensive these days and slightly limited tow vehicle parking. Found this on the FamCamp/AllStays/C-RV app. Apple Maps might direct you to enter from Harvard St but that entrance is closed so find the main gate entrance on General Manning Ave from Gowen Rd from I-84 West or Orchard St to Gowen Rd from I-84 East.
Neat little area on base with lots of military aircraft shells to check out.

Our rig - 2019 F350 Dually and 2021 Crossroads Cameo 3961MB 5th wheel (40ft long, 8 ft wide, 13.3 feet tall, solar system, 4 slide-outs, 16,000 lbs)
We are staying here October thru February . We found this park by word of mouth, but you can find it at www.gowenfieldrvpark.com.
The drive in -You have to take the Orchard Rd. Exit off of I84, the Broadway exit is way too bumpy through an industrial park, and the Gowen Rd. route is closed due to construction of the bridge between the exit and Gowen Field. The road coming in was GOOD, but the entrance has 8 large speed BUMPS, and the road inside the park was GOOD. There is one tree that needs to be trimmed back that will hit any 5th wheel, on the way to the spot.
Overall appearance of the park - 4/ 5 The park was clean and well organized. They are expanding the park, so there's construction going on east of the grass. The surrounding area was nice. The sites are surrounded by gravel, and have a grass strip behind them. They kept the grass mowed.
Location- The location of the park was good enough. Not really close to entertainment, shopping, groceries, and recreation. There is a bar, small convenience store, and gym on base and near by.
Attractions nearby- World class hiking, biking, golfing, water activities, parks, shopping, and many other recreation activities are 30 min to 3 hours away .
Amenities nearby- laundry mat, bar, gym, and small convenience store. Make sure to bring your own quarters since there isn't a change machine, and the store won't give change. Talk to Diana, the head of the RV park, to get quarters during business hours.
We have stayed in Site #A, B, E, and F the sites are back in and are open, landscaped (A and B have trees at the end of the pad, so careful not to back in to them), had a somewhat level concrete pad (E and F were damaged and uneven), and came with a picnic table. Getting into the site was average and close to level for setup with our leveling jacks. Our slide-outs had plenty of room. The site had enough space. Hookups were perfectly placed.
Hookups included - 50A + 30A + 15A electric, water, sewer x1, no cable and had No wifi. The water was soft and had great pressure.
Black tank dump on site - N.
Cell service - Verizon was 4 / 4 5G bars at our site and speed was poor.
Starlink - the field of view was clear. Changing our service location was successful after 7 days Boise is a saturated cell area. We placed our dish on top of the ladder / the ground with the tripod, both worked great.
Pet policies and amenities - Pets are allowed and typical policies are enforced. Other camper's pets were under control but one owner wouldn't pick up their dog's stuff . There is no dog park.
Staff - Scheduling was done over the phone. Diana is excellent to work with and very friendly and accommodating / pleasant. We were not escorted to our site and guided in.
Most favorite part - The rates and excellent condition of the hook ups.
Least favorite part - The rates are about to go from $12-15 a day to $38-40 a day 1JAN21, and no change machine.
Recommended sites to stay in - D, E, F, or G.
