The campground is located at a beautiful valley... unfortunately, that's all I can say about it positively. They jammed so many sites into a very small space for, I assume, max profits. At $89 per night, it's quite pricy. The worst part of the experience is the Wifi. You have to be at the exact spot, just left site of the office at the parking lot to get any signal. And, the speed is, at times, slower than the 3G cell signal from Verizon. I fail to see why they can not invest properly for some half-decent wifi accessibility. I don't know if they have the monopoly of the business due to the tribe land, but I certainly hope to have some competition to level the play field for consumers.

Girls in the store at check in were rude and just went through the motions with attitude. There is a Koa down the road that we will try if we travel this way again.

Can't go wrong with the location a couple of miles from Monument Valley, and a few more miles from Valley of the Gods.
The site was great, level and with excellent views. The Wifi was good as we used it for streaming at night. My big peeve is that with the Navajo presence and everyone around preaching to be stewards of the land, etc., there was exactly ZERO recycling! Yup, plastic, cardboard, metal, absolutely EVERYTHING simply goes into the trash. What kind of hypocrisy is this? Although Goulding's is privately owned the information centre and gift shop are on Navajo land and yup, ZERO recycling facilities!
Having vented on this issue, it is a wonderful place to see the beauty that is Monument Valley.
Cell service was fine, and we did not touch the indoor pool! Way too much chlorine smell, but we weren't here for the amenities anyway.
I would stay again if we ever ended up in this area sometime in the future, as RV options are very limited!

Site type: Pull through FHU 50 AMP Site #34
THE GOOD
Site: Site #34 is one of the best end sites to get. Request it if you can.
Grounds: Clean and quiet. Well-maintained. Really quiet and peaceful.
Cell: AT&T worked a bit better. Verizon worked but slightly less.
Wifi: Campground wifi was great for part of the stay because we were one of maybe 5 total occupied sites.
Laundry: Clean and well-maintained laundry facilities. Worked really well.
WORTH NOTING (not good or bad):
Site: Not terrible but worth noting that all sites (to my knowledge) are red dirt so not the best site pads and patio areas.

I stayed twice, one week apart in late Feb, early March. Had I rated this based on my first pass, I would have said good things. But one week later I fell into a trap and I hope you can avoid the same.
This is an average park close to Monument Valley. The reason I call it a trap is because I paid $48 dollars per night. When I returned a week later the prices jumped to $99 per night for the same spot. The lowest was $65 per night. Everyone clustered into those sites which were packed and tight while the majority of the campground remained empty.
This was price gouging for Spring break. But they don’t have the demand to justify those prices.
The campground is a little weird. Big rigs struggle to get around. The showers have weird hours. I couldn’t get decent water pressure. Beware the stray dogs. We checked in after hours and the security person meets you and assigns a site. But he doesn’t really know anything about RVs. He wasn’t well trained on their policies. My advice is to inspect the site. He would have put us into a space that was much too small.
A few other notes. The general store is lacking in supplies. It’s very hard to find ice. So don’t count on that. On the positive side, you can hike to an impressive arch, and views are pleasant. In March it rains a bunch. It isn’t the muddiest park. The sites are packed dirt and you will track in lots of it.

We arrived after closing, met with 24 hour on site security who checked us in and gave us all our paperwork. Site was clean and level with working cable tv, but not too many channels. Nice gift shop however the camp store was severely understocked due to it being the iff season.

Very odd place.
The good bits, very close to Monument Valley. In quite a sheltered area. The pull through RV sites were spaced ok. Its was empty when we arrived. Security was visible. Laundry was OK but a bit expensive compared to most we've been to. Wifi was OK and had a TV cable point at the hook up.
The not so good bits, very very odd hours. The laundry 8am-4pm. The showers (wow very odd). Main showers 8am-11am then 1230pm-5pm, then they closed and you had to use a block outside 5pm-7am. So no showers 7-8am! One group of travels asked for a refund due to the shower situation.
The back in rv pit he's were quite close together and just seemed to be an add on in a gravel area.
Whoever is in charge loves their signs. If there was a door, it had signs on it! Both sides! The first shower block I've ever been in which told we twice on the same sign to pick up my hair!!!
Pitches not very level
We've paid less for much better. Wouldn't stay again.

Ugh so I get this is like the only spot in the area, but oof. Packed like sardines....sites aren't even level. I would not go back, but if you absolutely need to stay near Monument Valley, it's doable for a night.

Sites are roomy & clean. Grounds were very well kept. Indoor pool was small but clean. We did use the showers & laundry, both were very nice. The real winner were the views! There are even small hiking trails on property with even better views. We only stayed 1 night but I wish we had more!
