“Beautiful Campground! ”

We stayed two nights in March 2018 on our way back down to AZ and home to FL from Moab. Lovely campground. Great views. The Goulding Trading post museum was fantastic, especially the living quarters upstairs. We had a couple of breakfasts and dinners in the Dining Room with great food and fantastic views of Monument Valley from our ... more

Park was about 2 miles or less from the highway. Road was paved all the way. Stayed overnight in a pull through site. Park was clean and had about 15 campers on a Friday night. Had full hookups and was able to charge up dump and be ready for several days of dry camping in Moab. Laundry and office closed a 6:00 pm. Beautiful scene... more

Stayed for a week in 29 ft travel trailer. Great views from campsite! Campground was pretty much empty in the winter. Short trails accessible right from campsite. Have pretty much everything you need right on site with grocery store, gas station, gift shop etc. Only reasons for 4 stars is I can easily see this being crowded and tight i... more

I made my reservation he night before we arrived on October 27. I was thrilled to be able to get a site on short notice as we were just meandering about. We came up from the south rim of the Grand Canyon and did not know how long the drive would be. I had real concerns about driving at night to try to find the campground, but we got th... more

There is now another FHU RV park in Monument Valley, but we would stay at Gouldings again. The dirt site was level with FHU 50 amps. Our satellite connected and the park WiFi worked fine. Small trees at each site with little space between. Makes the fire pit smoke annoying if the breeze is wrong. Park is kept nice and dark at nig... more

I had originally decided to stay at Gouldings Lodge since I was only staying one night. Decided at the last minute to camp in my truck instead. Glad I did. I did make a reservation online about a week before arriving. The views of Monument Valley are quite nice from much of the campground. At sunset I drove down to the highway and g... more

The Goulding's Campground is nestled in among the sandstone cliffs with a view of the Monument Valley spires. The view is beautiful! As others have mentioned, it's also conveniently located to access and tour Monument Valley. Goulding's can also help arrange tours for you and ask that you arrive 15 min prior to tour departure to secure... more

The rate includes a Good Sam, or AAA discount, and is for a full hookup back-in site. We had to stay in the overflow area, which had slightly smaller sites (four total) and the shower building in front with the office building in front of that. The view was still pretty if you ignored the buildings. The campground is generally pretty q... more

“Good amenities close to Monument Valley”

Reviewed Jun 07, 2015

Monument Valley can feel like a monumental rip-off if you're used to state- and national parks, and boondocking. Visitors here have two choices: Either make it a day trip and boondock 45+ minutes away, or stay local and pull out the Benjamins. Admission to the park itself is a flat $20 for up to four people for two days; every extr... more
