Gooseneck is a great place to stop for the night. Bathrooms are clean, and sites are level. We stayed at one of the sites with an awning over the picnic table. Gorgeous views!

What a great find! Just pick a spot along the cliffs and enjoy. Only a couple other people there when we went. There is a 2 night max. Or we would have stayed longer. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Fairly flat and a mix of rock and safe brush.

We loved this campground! Great views! We camped about 1/4 of the way in about 15 feet from the edge. The road in is a little bumpy, but not too bad. The bats came out at dusk to eat any flying insects! I love bats, They are so good for the ecosystem. We stayed here 2 nights so we could explore Monument Valley and Mexican Hat.

If you've ever camped at the Nomad View Dispersed Camping just north of the Badlands in South Dakota, you'll love this place. $10 a night. So many places to park. There are more than 8 places to camp. The further down the road you go , the rockier it is. Just go slow. We used this as a base to see Monument Valley, Natural Staircase and Valley of Gods.

Come early so you have a chance for a site at the overlook. More sites across without river view. Or you have a off-road vehicle, so you can move further on the mesa and camp more solitude. The $10 camping fee includes the $5 day use fee.
No cellphone coverage at all.

“Park anywhere” no designated sites.
Gas station about 3 miles down the road in Mexican Hat.
Monument Valley about 35 minutes from park.
Busy with day travels coming to see the view but quiet and peaceful at night and a very dark sky.
Would stay again.

40’ motorhome pulling Bronco. Parked almost to the end with stunning views. Very nice attendants and all campers were respectful of lights out for stargazing. Pick up after yourselves as this is an amazing stay!
