For those who have dry camped here with a travel trailer. Did you have any problem leaving your trailer to go exploring with your vehicle? Thanks!

We felt very secure while we stayed at GSP and did not think twice about unhitching to explore the Valley of the Gods and other excursions while there. GSP is a legitimate park with occasional rangers in the area.

Yes, absolutely! You will spend 3 hours driving around Valley of the Gods and exploring rock formations on foot, also go checkout Mexican Hat rock formation outside the valley. Amazing views!

None what so ever. The park has a staffed booth at the entrance. Park near the booth.

I spent a few days there and left my trailer during the day to go exploring in valley of the gods. No problems. In fact I like to vally of the gods so much I ended up leaving goosenecks and spend the last two days of my trip in Valley of the gods were it was free.

We frequented the Goosenecks 2012-2017, haven't been back since then. We would always take the car and leave the trailer without thinking about it. In 2016 I think I started putting on a hitch lock, that was the extent of prevention. I don't know if things have changed in recent years, I hope not.

We stayed there three days during the Easter 2023 weekend and absolutely loved it! No problems whatsoever. One day we left in the morning to explore the local areas and came back that afternoon. There were other campers on either side of us the whole time and it felt very secure. No problems, nothing taken or messed with. There’s been a park ranger working the entry gate each day till about 6pm.
