Sites are nicely spaced under lots of trees. The campground is well maintained with showers and wood for sale. The park ranger told us that they are never full - there is always room. No spectacular view or anything, but a really very pleasant place to overnight.

We enjoyed our first trip to Oregon. We had a large 20 amp site and a peaceful setting. Beautiful pastures and sunsets. Bathrooms were mildewed and smelly and caught 3 frogs in the shower. We enjoyed our time here!

Got in at 130 pm mid July on a Saturday. At least a dozen sites to choose from.
Only saw 1 30 amp service and the rest were 20 amp.
Quiet with fairly large sites

There is a dump station that the public can use. They ask for donation. They also have clean water for your fresh water tank

Peaceful campground off 395 on the Oregon/California border. Just a 1 nite stay passing through. We walked down to the lake just in time to see about 50 American white pelicans fly by in single file, totally synchronized. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful little park and, according to the very friendly ranger, never full. We were here over the 4th of July weekend, and, indeed, it never filled up. The restrooms are clean, but very small for such a large park. Only one site had 30-amp, the rest were just 20. Camp hosts and nearby citizens were very friendly.
The only problem was, we had to stay inside our rig the whole time, because there were millions of mosquitoes, day and night. Even after dark, we were still swarmed; taking the dog to the nearby river to play was an exercise in spraying DEET and swatting at the little bastards. The showers were full of them, too.
No WiFi, but Verizon had good cell coverage for our hotspot. AT&T had little to no service.

I have been wanting to stay here for several years after reading a blog from a couple that camp hosted here once. Their description of the beauty of the park and bird life had me intrigued to say the least. When my wife and I pulled in the first night she was very skeptical and wanted to only pay for a couple of nights and keep the option to move on if desired.
After selecting our spot and walking up to pay and immediately spotting a Great Horned Owl, several bunnies, ermine, California Quail, Sand Hill Crane, White Faced Ibis, and others before getting to the pay box she decided we better just stay awhile.
The park is mainly used for just overnight stops so we got the chance to see and meet several great people. It is also a great jumping off point for Hart Mountain Antelope Refuge and collecting Oregon Sun stones just outside of Plush Oregon.
The countryside all around this area is spectacular and We cannot wait to get back out that way again.
