“Quiet, private, limited spots, narrow roads, minimal tree’d areas”

Reviewed Feb 18, 2018

Overall Rating

It wasn’t too far off of the paved road to get to these sites, maybe 20 minutes. There are minimal trees surrounding the campsites and we weren’t sure if the constant high winds were a contributing factor or not. There are no hookups which we were ok with, this is a tent type of environment but we got our smaller trailer in there...not so fun on the narrow entrance road up. A lot of space in between camping pull-in’s. The only thing that may not be good for the dogs/kids is broken glass all over and there were empty shell casings scattered throughout our camp area. Beautiful views, so quiet, very private!

“Endless hikes, one included an inappropriately named rock”

Reviewed Jun 10, 2015

Overall Rating

Lots of camping sites along the FS road to get to this location, but if you want the trailhead, there is a large(5spot) camping area and horse unload just 1/4 mile shy of the parking lot. This place is awesome for hiking and camping in the wilderness, one of the guys I went with had been here before and was out in the 30 mile loop for 14 days and said it was the best time of his life. The group I went with had ventured out for the well known arch, which lies beside the notorious "c**k rock". The pics will let you fill in the blank. NO Cell service
