“Friendly Staff, But a Mediocre Site. ”

It was ok. Pretty basic site with gravel, pretty level. There is ZERO shade. The sewer port is in the rear and middle of the site, not the greatest location. The sites are tight. The staff was friendly, but I can’t seem to find a dump station anywhere here to help clean the tanks, but oh well. It’s a good spot if you’re in a pinch, but I’d rather go somewhere else next time.

“Choose your site carefully ”

Our main issue with the park was with the site they put us in. We had three main issues with the site itself.
1. We were parked directly in front of the electrical power box for the sites in our area. I found the constant buzzing to be annoying. It also made pulling out challenging, but I'll get to that. We could have solved this, we could have asked to be moved. We chose not to.
2. The sewer connection at almost all the sites is in a weird place. It ends up being directly under the RV. So you have to connect your hoses BEFORE doing the final park job of your rig. So hooking up was a bit of a challenge. But unhooking, given its location, meant we couldn't drain the hose of grey water properly. At least not without pulling out into the street, which is narrow to begin with, and blocking the street while we properly drained the hose into the sewer and then put it away.
3. The sites and the street are extremely narrow. We would never have gotten into our site had there been a rig in the site to our right, and if our neighbor to our left had had his truck parked in his space. In fact, in order to get out, he moved his truck for us, and the neighbor directly in front also moved his. Which allowed us to jimmy back and forth in our spot to be able to pull out without hitting the 5th wheel in front, running up onto the concrete pad, or hitting the power box behind us.
It seemed as if the park had squeezed additional spots into the available space at the expense of maneuverability.
We did have fine time, everyone was pleasant, the park was clean, quiet, and well maintained. For us personally though, Apache Junction is not terribly bikeable. Bike lanes seem arbitrarily placed and end abruptly, sometimes in dead end streets. And it's a long ways from bike paths. Otherwise it suited our needs at the time.
