We were going to stay two days but had to change our plans and the office staff was so accommodating. The only drawback to our stay was we were planning to do laundry and the laundry facilities were closed (for repainting). Since we only stayed the one night we didn’t get to do the laundry but not really a big deal. There is quite a bit of road noise as the location is not far off the highway and there are some really noisy trucks in the wee hours. Other than that I would totally recommend the stay. Plenty of places to eat and the staff can tell you anything you need to know!

Stay here on our way to and from Arizona, easy access to the campground, close to gas stations and Walmart. Very quiet after 9pm unlike most city campgrounds.

Roads and sites are narrow. NOT Big Rig Friendly! Their 50 amp power tripped our Watchdog surge protector twice prior to plugging in the coach. Had to switch to 30 amp. Can't talk to anyone at the campground on Sundays since the office is closed. "Leave a message and we will get back to you during normal business hours." It's only for 1 night but it is on our list of 'Never Again'.
UPDATE: The campground NEVER contacted us during their normal business hours concerning our 50 amp power not working at the post. But then again, why should they. They got their money and we were moving on!

The only drawback which for my one night stay was no biggie, was that there seemed to be some long term campers there.

Right off the hwy, so there is traffic noise, but it didn’t bother us. The sites are close, but there is grass between and enough room. We used it as a stop to visit other places. It in town, so shops & restaurants are very close. Clean laundry room and only $1.75 for wash. That’s the lowest we’ve seen. Nice green grassy area to walk ... more

If you stop, in the late summer, you'll find zucchini, yellow squash and a variety of heirloom tomatoes waiting for you at the check in counter (fresh from their side garden). "Take what you want!" When I checked out, the next morning, there was a fresh batch waiting to be claimed. What a treat!

My spot had some afternoon shade. The baths & laundry are well-maintained. The staff was friendly & helpful at check-in. It only takes about 15 minutes to get to the Bird Refuge, so it's a keeper & other campgrounds are significantly further away for those early morning starts. There's a super-Walmart across the street, and other shopping in town. While it's right off the freeway, it wasn't too noisy. Wifi quality was sketchy.

“Horrible people ”
noted 7/7/2021
After making a reservation and driving all day to get there I was not allowed inside without a mask to check in. CDC has lifted ban - we have been vaccinated and no longer have masks on us. Extremely rude and righteous owner chose to loose the business versus letting us stay there DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS. There are other RV parks on the same street with much nicer people running them (KOA and Willard peak) for example
Let join together and only support the businesses that treat their customers with respect and kindness
