This is now called the Golden Riverfront campground, apparently under new management. We came here because of a disastrous experience at another Golden RV park. We took an unserviced site which had plenty of space around us. It was very quiet and few mosquitoes this time of year. It seems delightfully situated, especially if it had been warm enough for water sports. We were very pleased to find such a nice alternative to the KOA-style parks that proliferate.

We ended up here only because our first choice, the Muni Campground, was booked. This place is way off the highway, across the river, through a residential neighborhood, and through a pasture before you get to the office. Easy check in at the office, but then you drive a good distance down the driveway and enter the deep woods into the campground. Roads and campsites are all dirt, but pretty level. It's so heavily treed that one good thing is that you have lots of privacy at the campsites, but along with that comes mosquitoes, mosquitoes, mosquitoes.
We walked to the laundry and bathroom facilities, which seemed forever away from us, to find a sign asking everyone to remove their shoes before entering. That'll be the day I walk into a public restroom with my bare feet- ew. Only one of two washing machines was working. More mosquitoes on the way back.
It was a very noisy first night where several campers were partying loudly and hollering way past midnight. It's good to have fun but some need to be told about manners past 10pm. Campground staff was non-existent. I felt sorry for the people next to them because there were many families with small children.
I can't stress enough that the mosquitoes in this very thickly wooded campground are relentless- like nothing I've ever experienced. WiFi? Nil. Oh, and no sewer at the sites- just one near the laundry room and the people waiting in line didn't look very happy.
Everything was so bad that we ate the second night's rate (unfortunately I had booked 2 nights) and moved to the Golden Municipal Campground- a much better location where you can walk to town and park staff is present, and barely a mosquito.
I had read reviews about Eco-Adventure Ranch and thought people were probably exaggerating about noise and mosquitoes, however, I now know what they were talking about. I would never go back here again.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. This would be a great place to base out of to explore Canada's YOHO and Glacier National Parks. As it was, we took a bicycle ride around town that was recommended by the woman who checked up in.
It had great access to Golden with restaurants and shopping. The WiFi connection was about the best that we have had in Canada.
The entire campground is surrounded by mountain ranges, and the night sky here is like nothing else.
