They have a small beach, boat ramp & walking trails (though the walkway over the backwater is currently closed). You have to pack out your garbage. It’s very close to Crystal Falls, though we like Iron River better for groceries, liquor and laundry. There are often hunters who stay here. Three sites are on the lake and the others are decently spaced. Best for small to medium sized campers, though there are a few that can accommodate a larger camper. $20 per night (plus a Recreation Pass which was $40 annually & available at the DNR [very close] or Bewabic State Park. Cash or check only.

Quiet. One other campsite was booked when I arrived. And only one additional arrived while I was there mid-week. A sandy beach and a boat ramp. Lovely small lake. Nice trails off the back of the campground (boardwalk loop currently closed Aug 2024). Site 8 has a pretty big space with access to the water. 9 and 10 are a bit smaller but also have access directly to the lake. The toilets were getting full and smelly, but clean. Locals would visit and park in the campsites with water access. They left trash at the site and it would be confusing if you were someone driving through looking for a campsite to book while they were there. There is no trash available—pack out what you bring. Cell service: ATT had 1-2 bars LTE. 2-3 with a booster.

Nice State Forest Campground on a small lake. There are some sites on the water, so if you have a canoe , kayak or float tube to fish the lake you can keep it right at your campsite. Not all lakeside sites are level. We were the only campers on an early October week. Pit toilets and hand pump.
