This Resort/Park is right off the No Name exit. Super easy to get to. The office is down the hill towards the river. Staff was very pleasant. Not all sites are FHU, so beware. Oddly enough, the sewer hookups are near the opening of the back in sites. There are no pull through sites. The biggest advantage of this park is the proximity to the Glenwood Canyon bike trail. It’s a wonderful trail. The only downside is the traffic noise from I-70. There are 2 bath houses but we didn’t use them. Fortunately it was late in the season, so the park was very empty and quiet. Cell phone service is basically nonexistent. Their WiFi worked very well though and we were on it for more than the allotted 1 hour.

We spent $400 for a 3-night weekend stay in a riverfront RV site (water & electric). While expensive, the property itself is wonderful, and close to everything Glenwood Springs has to offer. The trains coming through several times a day across the river didn't bother us--we knew that was the case and accepted it. However, we were totally unprepared for the loud, raucous parties that took place on the "event center" deck right above us. Loud, thumping bass competed unfavorably with the lovely sound of the Colorado River flowing right behind us. Every once in a while (when the music was not playing loudly) the shouting of a DJ trying to egg on the partiers on a tinny sound system was heard above all else. Peace and quiet? Oh, no. More like a living hell until 10 p.m., when quiet hours were supposedly in effect. My put up with this on Friday night, were not back from our trip to Aspen until after 10 p.m. on Saturday, and then had to put up with a Singles Summer Camp on Sunday night. My husband went up there to speak with the event organizers (after I called the office, where of course no one was present) and found out they were told they could play as loud as they wanted until quiet hours began at 10 p.m.
What I want campers to know is that this campground could CARE LESS about your enjoyment of nature and the perceived quiet stay that most campgrounds offer. This is an EVENT CENTER, a cash cow for the campground owners, and the campground and cabins is only a secondary concern for them. The open deck is where all the parties happen, and as long as you're good with that noise, you'll enjoy your stay. However, if you're booking an expensive riverfront site thinking to enjoy some peace and quiet from 5:00-10:00, you'll be sadly disappointed. We will never stay there again, and that's sad, because it's a nice property.

Though a bit pricey, being right on the Colorado River was a nice break after being in the desert for the last six weeks. Mid-July makes for some very hot temperatures. The restrooms here were fine, very clean, and serviceable. We had water and electricity. There is a dump station on the way out. We only spent one night here before heading for Golden, Colorado but it was splendid. You do not get to pick your site here, it is assigned, and there are some better than others. But all of them are right on top of each other. That, and the price, are the only negatives. Easy in, easy out. I-70 runs right beside it but you can’t hear it at all due to the loud and robust flow of the busy tubing river. The trains running through are another delight, that is, if you like trains. And we do.

We’ve stayed 3 separate weekends here in 2023, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day. We’ve had a river site once and loved it. The upper sides are still nice. Love the camp store onsite, good hookups, but internet is inconsistent. The spots are pretty close together but overall a convenient, quiet, clean campground.

We stayed here overnight on a week-long trip from CO to UT and back. It was great for what we needed: A place to sleep, fill our fresh water tanks and charge up everything for a week of boondocking through eastern UT.
BUT, it reminded me of why we rarely stay at places like this. Spent $130 on a spot where neighbors are literally inches away. And, if they started a fire in their fire ring, I could toast my marshmallows from inside my camper…after taking the batteries out of my smoke detector.
The (full!) CO river flowing past is impressive, the place is clean and well organized and the staff are friendly. The place is full tonight, so they must be hitting the sweet spot for many. Personally, I am looking forward to the peace and quiet of BLM land boondocking.
I would definitely come back for an overnight like we are doing tonight, and I might even spend a few more bucks in a riverside spot. But, I will just expect to be camping in a parking lot.

It is also secluded from the city and even though it is close to the highway we couldn’t hear it. The fact that it is surrounded by rocks and lower altitude makes it less windy and warmer then other campgrounds around. We recommend!

Laundry facility had (2) machines, overpriced $4 per load. Lots of cabins, "glamping tents", campsites right on the river if you so choose, and they have a nice clubhouse area (appeared not used during our stay). Nice walking/bicycling path runs by the park and follows the river east to the Hanging Lake Trail area and west into the town of Glenwood Springs. On site there is an outfit called "Defiance Rafting" that runs non-stop whitewater rafting trips on the river. Very nice resort. Wifi was pretty touchy/slow. Hanging Lake Trail is a must.

If you stay down by the water there is a set of tracks directly across from you and trains will run randomly throughout the day and night. We had them at 10:30pm, 11:00pm 2:30 am, 3:00am, 5:26am that I can recall. They start breaking for Glennwood Springs so you get to hear a nice squealing for a few minutes.
The park was nice and clean, bathrooms and showers available. Water pressure mimics that of your rv, so more space is the feature.
Site are crammed together, no real room to spread out on the water lots.

Something about the sound of running water drops my BP. If you opt for the waterfront spots you won’t be sorry. Flat. Literally feet from the CO River. Rafting & zipline available here. We needed a “treat” night before a stretch of dry camping. This was perfect.

I had scheduled three campsites, the suites, and the Canyon Club for a wedding. However, due to the COVID-19 crisis, we were forced to cancel the venue, which we communicated prior to the 60 day time frame for room and site refunds (other than first night). We were told by the caretaker of the property, that the owners would have to be contacted. We requested to speak directly to the owners and have waited over three weeks to no avail. We filed a BBB complaint and have heard nothing. Our calls requesting information are ignored and messages not returned. This property is not ran ethically and will not communicate with guests in a timely manner.

Don't rely on this place for a spontaneous stopover. We tried to stop on the way through. No one answered the phone. There were plenty of Sprinter sites available but the sign on the door said they were full. Guess they didn't want my $75.
