“Situated on hill, No Level Sites”

After check in we drove to our site, the campground is situated on a hill side and our site was terribly unlevel. Over 9 inches needed to level the back passenger corner. Some sites are small and sloped. Site A9 was the best RV site in the place; large, level, private with enough room to park our 30 foot RV and up to 4 cars. Campground is on the side of a hill, but they did a good job of leveling the sites. Most RV sites are fairly level. Sunflower Cafe had BBQ, which was very good. Some train noise in the distance. Got packages delivered to the office, they will call you when they arrive. About 1/3 of the campground road is paved, the rest are dirt/gravel but aren't too bad. Office staff is very friendly and helpful. Laundry room was adequate.
For negatives: no breaker on the 30 amp electrical box and only one socket (no 15 amp) and dump station is tight. They do not sell propane. The train noise is barely audible from our site.
Had a black bear wonder past our RV on two afternoons, it didn't cause any problems.
AT&T cell signal as good, 3-4 bars of 4G, with the Weboost, we streamed without a problem. a few HDTV channels came in well.
Would have been 5 stars except for the electric box, its no fun pulling it with the power still on.

I’d say all the reviews I have read about this park are true. It is more resembling a national forest campground…. Except maybe the sites are smaller. Although I had 2 bars of AT&T signal there was almost no bandwidth. Voice calls were OK, but hotspot was a no-go most of the time. There is WiFi at the office, but only occasionally reachable from my site. The internal roads are a bit steep in places, but wide enough to be navigable with my 34’ bumper tow, although the dump station can be a bit tight. Our picnic table was directly behind our camper, and with our awnings extended we were within a couple of feet of the camper next to us. The fire pit was littered with cigarette butts (which is a pet peeve of mine). There were no OTA television stations detectable with our antenna.
All this being said: The folks at the office are very nice and helpful. I was able to get my propane refilled, and this is definitely the closest park to the entrance. The sites are tucked into the woods, and we had no real problems getting level. Not much road noise from the highway, but you can hear the train occasionally (we kinda liked that). We didn’t use the laundry facility, although it looked like it was clean and well maintained.
For the price and convenience: we’d consider staying here again.

There is cell signal for AT&T throughout the park but during the day it is useless as the pipe it must go through must be small. The only time I could watch YouTube was from 5 to 6:30 in the morning. The only Wi-Fi is right on the front porch area of the office. There are 174 sites and a few showers and I think only one laundry with three machines. There is some vegetation between most sites but not a lot but overall it was an OK stay as we stayed in the National park most of the time.

The campground is only a couple of miles from the west gate at Glacier NP which is great. However, the campground is more like a National Forest Campground. Extremely dusty from all the of traffic on the interior roads. I was camping with my parents and it took us both nearly an hour to get our rigs level on the sites (F14 and F16). Very uneven to the point of us having to find small boulders to level even though I brought many leveling blcoks. F16 even has a dry stream channel running through the rear of the site so it would not be a good site during a rain storm. The forested setting is nice with mature larch and aspens. If you are going to be spending most of your time outside of the campground visiting the park (we did) then it's fine for a few days. Otherwise we noticed plenty of other better options in the vicinity.

#1 benefit of this campground is excellent access to Glacier NP. Just 5 minute drive to park's west entrance.
Overall the campground is "good". Lisa the host is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are good. Bathrooms are clean, with hot showers. The one negative is that most sites are really close together. Luckily we were traveling with friends so did not mind that they were only 15 feet from our trailer. Most sites are a little unlevel and not many are big rig friendly. Other negative is train noise. Several trains leave a nearby switching yard located nearby, early each morning. If you are going to spend majority of your time in the park each day, this is a good place to stay.
