Are the site lengths listed on-line accurate? Looking at a site that is 28’ long, but we are 31.5’. Class C.

If you need a pool, kiddie park and regularly scheduled activities, this may not be the place for you. But, if you want a quiet, relaxing place for biking, hiking and getting away from things, you've found it. This was a very private, well maintained campground with well spaced level sites and easy access. Most sites were back in and a bit short for really big rigs but there are some pull through sites. There are miles of trails nearby in Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park and it's 25 minutes to downtown Tucson and everything in the city. Unfortunately there's a 7 day limit on your stay and the registration office isn't manned this time of year but camp hosts and volunteers are visible and friendly. Didn't use the bathrooms but they are cleaned often, the camp hosts carts are in front daily. If you have a longer trailer or rig I would recommend coming in off of Kinney rather than Gates Pass due to tight narrow curves. Will definitely stay here again.

This county park, just south of Saguaro National Park, is the best campground we have found to experience the beauty of the Sonoran Desert. It is a bargain at $20 per night for electric and water hookups, and camping among the giant Saguaros is a one-of-a-kind experience. It is a 20 minute scenic drive to Tucson and there is GREAT hiking in the park and in Saguaro National Park. Sites are level, well-spaced, surrounded by gorgeous desert foliage, and have magnificent views. It's very quiet and peaceful except for nightly coyote howling at sundown. Bathrooms are well maintained, office workers are pleasant and very helpful with hiking and area information.
