If you need to use the toilet and someone is showering you are out of luck. But we were the only people in the campground aside from the host volunteers. The lake is beautiful and sunset was nice from the back window of our trailer. Glad we have a short trailer.
All staff members were very helpful and nice.
We would return off season due to easy access from I40 and with the Access discount it was a steal.

Sites are fairly small and we didn’t visit bathrooms but it’s fine. Not special but ok. We paid $10 with discount.

I stayed at Gentry Creek on 9/2/2021 in my 27' travel trailer. This campground was designed and built in the mid 1960s, when a typical travel trailer was about 14' long, and most campers were in tents. Accordingly, the approach roads are all narrow and the pads very short, with many closely grouped around a common water spigot. I was in #32, along with sites 29-33, a back-in on top of a little rise with a great view of Lake Eufaula. All the adjacent sites were empty when I arrived, so using their space to avoid some close trees, I was able to get into the site okay. Pad is very bumpy, broken down edges, and sloping toward the left front corner. As I was struggling to level up, one of the hosts came by and informed me that I had the "worst site in the park". Encouraging. "Another site open?" "Nope, fully booked." (More on that later.) By jockying to find the most level spot on the pad, I was able to eventually get reasonably situated. (See pics.) There isn't a usable map of the CG at reservations.gov, and online satellite views are unhelpful, so I'm posting a scan the map that I received during my visit here. Also keep in mind: 1) Gates are LOCKED at 10:00pm; no entry or exit; 2) No designated walking trails in the CG. About the booking: There are 40 sites in CG, only 20 designated for RV use. The night I was there, only 6 sites were occupied, even though both hosts said the CG was fully booked. This "no show" problem seems to exist at many COE and SP CGs.

Sites are small, but campground was not that busy on a Tuesday in late May. Easy access off I-40. Beautiful lake views in a picturesque, hilly, wooded landscape.
Our rig is small (24’) so no issues with small sites, but I can see where big rigs might not be that easy to accommodate.
Over all, a great find.

$19 for this park is too much. We found the only large pull through and stayed with the half off sr pass. Most sights have shared drives and are not very level. Lots of Armadillos In the area. Cute but really tear up the ground. Even with 4bars of Verizon service it was almost impossible to stream video.

We are the only guests tonight in the campground other than the camp hosts. Sites are a bit tight with many sites with low hanging tree limbs. We found site 30 to be one of the only we would fit with our 38ft motorhome. We pulled in versus backed in so we could have an amazing view of the lake out our front windshield. There is picnic tables and fire rings at most sites. Many sites are very unlevel and most sites are not along the lake (only a few available lakeside.) Site 30 seemed the most level and we still got out our extra boards to help with leveling. Electric sites are $19 and dry sites are $14. Even though after Nov 1st we still had to pay (was expecting free since off season and most COE parks are free after Nov 1st but no signs to say otherwise.) Had to turn on our booster to get good coverage.
