We found this place by accident as it has no road markings at all. We didnt want to pay to dry camp at Kaibab Campground so we looked for something else and found this great place. We found this place by accident as it has no road markings at all. We didnt want to pay to dry camp at Kaibab Campground so we looked for something else and found this great place. Wasnt very busy when we were here. No facilities at all except a fire pit. We stayed in the first open area without a problem. It is only 70 miles from Grand Canyon. The sites are big and shaded and VERY quiet. Abundance of wild life around. We got internet reception with our AT&T hotspot but no phone reception with T-Mobile
LianeDee would stay here again

Around 1 mile past the turn off for Kaibab Lake, you go over a bridge and a dirt road on the right is where you turn. There is no marker for the road. There are smaller spots almost immediately but there was a lot of trash. Follow the more level road to the left. Spots for bigger rigs appear and you enter the Prairie. There are also spots where the road meets to a T,If you turn right. The road got busier on the weekend and you can hear a light hum of traffic from highway 64. But it was free camping and we saw Pronghorn Antelope and had wide open spaces to play, hike and explore. Very close to Williams for exploring the historic town, shopping, restaurants. Great place!
Stayed here in a 33 foot-long Fifth Wheel (RV). Ontheroamagain would stay here again.
