We booked online in advance. Once we arrived the office was closed. We simply went to our site. We never saw anyone in the office the 4 nights we stayed and other campers seemed confused as well in regard to how to book or pay. Another camper showed us the water spigot in the side of the building so we could fill our tank since it’s an electric only site. There is a functioning dump station, laundromat, and coin operated showers. The site was level and sufficient for what we needed. It’s located at the beginning of the town across from the fire/police station. We didn’t have any issues. The tour buses go by frequently since it’s on the main road to town. We walked to downtown so it was very convenient. Our Starlink worked great and it seemed to fill up more on the weekend.

If you want to stay in town you have two options, and this is the cheaper one… dump station was in working order, laundry was sufficient (pretty cheap too), and location was walkable or a short drive towards the other end of town. If you want to stay in town you have two options, and this is the cheaper one… dump station was in working order, laundry was sufficient (pretty cheap too), and location was walkable or a short drive towards the other end of town. Electric only at site for $50/night seems pretty expensive, but we wanted to stay in town. Spot was level and easy to park in. The dump station can get busy as there is only one hole if you’re leaving in the same day as a RV tour. Looks like it used to be full hookups, but spigots at site are off and the sewer holes are covered. This could be a lot nicer, but it met our needs…

We came into town without a reservation, but we were "lucky" to get the last spot here. The other private campground was full. This campground is popular with the RV tour groups. It is a tired park, but it suited our needs. It is within walking distance to town and quiet at night. The manager was helpful and lived on site.
Not a lot of space between the parallel sites, gravel pads, mowed grass in between. Our pedestal was not in greatest shape and our site only had 30 amp. We were unable to use the water at our site so we had to fill our tanks on the restroom side of the office. There were sites on the perimeter, but most were not in great shape. Dump station was in working order.
We used the laundry facilities, also tired, with many machines out of order and not the cleanest ever. Restrooms were also dated, coin showers, code was need to enter.
We rode the train, took the ferry to Haines and visited the local breweries, all within walking distance.
Very good cell service when the cruise ships were gone.

$45 for an electric only site. Water no longer works. Sites are narrow and un level. Oh and you get charged for a cold disgusting shower. Sadly it’s very similar to all Alaska campgrounds. Narrow out of date way over priced.

A big gravel and grass lot in the middle of town. But it is well kept and has a laundromat on site. Pretty quiet and a short walk to all the sites in Skagway. Was $40 with Good Sam discount. Over half the park was an adventure expedition group. Water, 30 amp and sewer at each site. Friendly host.
