Is it safe to tent camp with puppies here with the wildlife?

I would think so. There’s a fence around the entire campground except for where you drive in/out, so I don’t think you’d have to worry anything. While there are coyotes in the park, I don’t think they wander into the populated areas.

It fenced in area around Campground from the large wildlife, like Buffalo. As for say coyote one has always be aware. Keep pets on leash and in site at all times. We did not encounter any issues when we stayed there and plan to stay there again.

We didn’t see any wildlife near this campground. Try to get a site near the restrooms where it’s busier then you’re sure not to see anything.

Yes, the campground is separated by a fence from the area where the bison may roam. Other than that, deer are always in and around the campground. There are mountain lions in the Black Hills, but I have never heard of them coming in or around the campground. We saw many tent campers during our visits there over the last two years and they had no issues. It’s an awesome campground!
