Did a recon today just wanted to provide more information regarding the area being closed as mentioned in a previous comment. Not only is it closed (there is a 9" by 3" little sign that says "Closed to all uses") but law enforcement can give you like a $250 fine and require a court appearance. My only complaint: the trails are poorly maintained. We started out towards some of the old ruins but the trail quickly became overgrown with thorny bushes, etc. We had to turn back.
Otherwise it is a great camping spot for peace and quiet.

Very quiet place full of history.
We were the only campers staying there. The trails take you around the lake and the site of the logging town that was here 1907-1927.
$15 but 50% discount with a Nat. park card.

The host and/or rangers did not clean any of the bathrooms or showers during our stay. The vault bathroom was just a big NO! The bathroom with showers were barely ok.
We had the place to ourselves, no one else showed up and the host left the morning of our 2nd day.
Hiking trail leads you through the old sawmill and town. Small playground.
