Frontier Campground is a quiet little slice of heaven to get away for some peace and quiet. They only accept monthly reservations ($500/month) which we appreciate as this keeps out the "weekend party" folks and keeps that atmosphere calm and relaxing. My husband and I have spent many nights here and look forward to many more. It is close enough to modern conveniences yet far enough to vacation. The park is full of beautiful, mature trees that provide ample shade at all the sites. We highly recommend a stay at this wonderful little campground!

We paid $475/month + electric. This was the first spot we stayed at with our new huge camper where we had to pay electric - yikes! I'm fairly convinced we got ripped off $237 for one month... Anyhow, gravel roads, mostly gravel sites, decent size spots, long enough for big rigs but a little tight to back into unless you get one of the few pull-thrus. Only one gentleman owns and maintains the place, and this shows in the landscaping and playground area. He could use some help but he makes an effort. He is very vigilant about who comes and goes in the park. There is a pool and showers (which are closed in the winter). There is a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers. There are cabins and tent sites. Mostly seasonal local campers that come in on the weekends. Around 45minutes from Cincinnati and 40minutes from Dayton.

My husband and I have stayed many nights at Frontier Campground over that past 4 years and absolutely love it! It is full of beautiful, mature trees that offer a ton of shade in most of the sites which is wonderful during the hot summer months. Walter, the owner, is kind, helpful and provides a safe, secure place to stay with the grounds under CCTV surveillance which we appreciate. The campground only accepts monthly reservations so this keeps out the "weekend party" crowd, this helps keep the atmosphere quiet and more family-oriented. It's close to modern conveniences yet far enough away to feel like your on vacation. Spring Valley Wildlife area is just a quick walk from the campground and offers fishing, motorless boating, wildlife viewing, and a connection to the paved bike trail. We absolutely LOVE this peaceful, quiet place to get away and will be spending many more relaxing nights there in the future.

My Husband and I have stayed many nights at this wonderful little campground over the past 4 years. It is cozy and quiet with beautiful tree cover. The owner is a kind man and provides a safe, secure place with CCTV cameras around the grounds. This campground only accepts monthly reservations which keeps the "weekend party" folks out and create a more quiet atmosphere. It is located close to Waynesville village and the town of Xenia for modern conveniences yet far enough that you feel like your in the woods on vacation. We highly recommend this gem for a serene place to rest and relax!

“We Love This Place!”
Reviewed 4/3/2020
We have stayed here many times over the past few years and absolutely love it! The owner is very friendly and has cameras on the grounds for the safety and security of all that stay here. They only take weekly and monthly reservations which we appreciate - this keeps out the "weekend party" campers and helps maintain a more quiet family atmosphere. It's a small RV Park surrounded by big beautiful trees so most of the campsites are well shaded and are absolutely beautiful in the spring and summer months! The Campground is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind yet close enough for convenience. It's just a 5-minute drive into the town of Waynesville and 9 minutes to the city of Xenia, so you get the peace and quiet but are close to modern conveniences. Just a short walk up the street is the Spring Valley Wildlife area which offers fishing, wildlife of all types, bird watching and a connection to the paved bike trail.
We are so thankful to have stumbled onto this amazingly beautiful place to park our RV and get some much-needed relaxation!
