French Creek Cove

The park itself is a find! 12$ a night for electric with water hydrant’s available to fill tank. We stayed in site 18 and 17 looks amazing but it was windy today and chilly there but the lower campground is great! No one else here. WARNING: Apple maps says to turn on Limestone Rd north off of 56. That is wrong. That is nothing but a mud path between fields. Turn north when you see the sign for this place which is Kanza Rd. Be warned with rain, it doesn’t have a lot of gravel. You’ll turn right on 210th street (look for sign). Here’s where it gets interesting. About one mile and you’ll come to an intersection. Ahead you will see a mud pit road which has the sign for this place. Do not go straight. You actually make the sharp left onto Limestone Rd and follow it the rest of the way. keep driving past the first camper for the better electric sites.

So hard to believe no one has left a review. It’s a great campground. Only 20 sites with electric. There isn’t a sole here but me for a Friday night. My site is one of the two on the river. With a beach to put in your Kayaks or canoes. Not far off the Hwy 150 outside of Hillsboro. The Porte potties are very clean. Tables and shelter at every site. Plus a bbq and fire rings. I hope to come back one day.
