Semi level spot for our 25’ motor home in a small camp ground. (Only allowed 20’, but ranger didn’t comment since we hung the back over the edge). Only issue we faced is a major infestation of chipmunks and squirrels. They didn’t touch our RV, but reading stories about them made me wonder if they’d be eating wires. Steep drive up the mountain and down some hills only took just over 20 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara. About the same distance to Solvang. Signs on the site said reserved, But we are able to stay at a site that the reservation was for a few days later. Great spot in a pinch.

“Closed Jan 13 - March 12 2023”
noted 2/20/2023
Today is February 20, 2023. Unfortunately I drove 5 1/2 hours today to get here right at Sunset and find out that the park is closed. All the campsites in this general area are closed for “health reasons”. It is really beautiful here so it is a bummer that we can’t stay. Save yourself the trip until March!
