Freeman City Park

The Freeman City Camping area is on the northwest side of the city park. It is on the corner of South DeWald Street and Parkway. Normally, the GPS would bring you to the camping area via Parkway on the northeast side by the pool. We got there on a Wednesday and there was a farmers market on Parkway, so we had to go around a couple blocks and approach from DeWald Street. once settled in we got some great fresh produce.

The camping area has only about 6 or 7 sites. They have electric hookups and some have picnic shelters. There are flush toilets and showers in the building there. There was plenty of hot water and it was basic but clean. Water was available at the side of the shower house. I read another review that said it was closed in the winter. All in all, we were quite pleased with our brief stay.
