“Nice dispersed sites right on the lake. Trash was the biggest issue.”

We pulled straight in all the way to the lake. The site was littered with trash. (Bike parts, bottles, cans, clothing, diapers...you name it.) We cleaned up 7 bags and took them to the dumpster.
The night was quiet. The next day we back tracked and took the first right as you come in past the boat ramp and dumpster. Several much nicer spots back in there also on the lake. Still a little trashed but not nearly as bad. Spent two nights. Very quiet. Only one other camper and not within sight or sound.
T-Mobile worked well. Dog was fine off leash. Fishing from shore.
Did some exploring and found a cemetery from the 1800's (Boggy Bend Cemetery Springtown, OK). It is not kept up. Also found an abandoned homeless type camp in the woods.
My wife said she would not stay at the first location alone but felt fine at the second location.

All in all it was a great site, though the road in is partially dirt the first half and bumpy. The rest is dirt, so your truck/van/camper will definitely get dirty. Not a huge problem. We didn't check out all the path, but we chose a quick spot to stop. The other spots were taken by campers when we came in at night. I had about 3 bars of 5G with T-Mobile and AT&T was pretty good as well. Would definitely stay again, the views were great. There was some trash, but not enough to not stay.

An amazing spot we found that was recommended to us when you come here GPS will only take you to the road so don’t come in at night because it’s very hard to find a good spot we got lucky you take the road between the Choctaw Travel center and Casino go down it’s probably 2 miles you’ll see a small boat ramp on the right and on the left you’ll see a dumpster keep going around you’ll see turn off‘s find you turn off and then just keep driving around you’ll see the others open clearings with campfire rings everything already set up beautiful area we found a spot that just steps to the water. The only noise we heard was you can hear the night at night you can hear the train in the distance For food access town is about I don’t know 30 minutes round-trip To Pruitts grocery store you don’t want to go to Walmart because Walmart’s not a super Walmart it doesn’t have fresh meat or veggies Local police patrol once a day
