Plenty of space for RVs on the left side of the store. Talked to the people at customer service and they said overnight RV stays are allowed. Nobody bothered us while we camped and after about 10:30pm the area was quiet. Would stay again!

Fred Meyers is an RV haven. Plenty of space to park - when we were there at least 10 others were also camped out for the night. There is a free dump station with water and propane. One3 of the best grocery stores we have found on the peninsula. And a short walk up the hill to St. Elias Brewery. Sadly the gas pumps were not working ... more

One3 of the best grocery stores we have found on the peninsula. And a short walk up the hill to St. Elias Brewery. Sadly the gas pumps were not working while we were there. Thank you Fred Meyer!

Most of the Fred Meyer stores in Alaska are very welcoming of RV overnighters. The exception is in metro Anchorage where RVs are discouraged. Most of the Fred Meyer stores in Alaska are very welcoming of RV overnighters. The exception is in metro Anchorage where RVs are discouraged. The Soldotna store is typical - a portion of the parking lot on the south corner of the store is striped for RVs although you'll often see rigs along the northern perimeter of the property as well. Their fuel prices were very competitive and the dump station was clean.
