“Pleasant Except For The Cars Cruising Past”

Plenty of open grassy field for dog walking, a pretty little lake, level sites. All was good except it was on the Friday night cruising circuit so every half hour or so in the evening a car with no muffler would drive past. After 10 it was quiet.

Full hookups for $15. The drive here from the east was so boring that I had low expectations, but this park in the middle of nowhere is surprisingly lovely. Great walking trails, pretty pond. Great place to stop.

Best small campground ever! Full service and very spacious. Large rig friendly. Will definitely go back if our travels takes us through this area again. Only disappointment is that you can’t reserve ahead of time.

When you get to this part of Kansas, there are few pickings for campgrounds with RV's. However, this place was awesome. Only $15 a night for a spot with electric and water. The sites were nice with decent space between spots. We arrived there on a Friday afternoon and there were only 3 sites left. My advice is if you plan to camp there on a weekend, get there early in the afternoon on a Friday. Otherwise, you won't get a spot. You walk to the golf house to pay the money for the spot. Didn't have to fill out any paperwork due to the fact we were only staying one night. Nice place to walk dogs and the noise level was low, even with people having a group barbeque at one of the pavilions. The dump station for your RV is in town. Just Google dump station, Ulysses, KS. It'll take you right to it. If your needing grocery's, there is one grocery store in town. A little on the expensive side, but they have what you need. Also, if you are going West to Colorado, get gas in Ulysses. There were no gas stations at all going West to Colorado. I was really surprised about that.

Park has 8-9 sites — 5 of them had the electrical accessible — the other sites had padlocks on the boxes. 2 spots filled with full timers left 3 spots to choice from.
My 30amp connection was broken so had to use 50amp and downgrade to 30 with my connector.
$15 for full hookups — water was still on in late November — is a great deal. You pay at the golf course office across the street.
Local told me during summer all spots all filled most days so might need a back up plan during better weather and peak seasons.
WiFi was available not sure if provided by park or golf course. AT&T cell/internet was good.
Some trash around and facilities needed a good cleaning for sure.

You pay at the golf course shop across the street. We needed to catch up on some online work and this was a great place to do it. There is a pond with a walking trail around it and another little trail close by. We saw bunnies, western meadowlarks, blue jays, a spotted ground squirrel, sunflowers, other wildflowers, and a baby turtle. There is disc golf course as well. Lots of folks come to the park to play and walk and it had a nice vibe and wasn’t too loud. Affordable, convenient, a great stop for travelers passing through.

While the drive across western Kansas is of flat open country, this park is lush, peaceful, and you can play disc golf too....we stayed in the #1 spot, nice concrete pads, nice picnic table on concrete pad, the dis golf course is fun.....we stayed both ways on our trip to Southern Colorado....nice, nice park.

We stayed here 2 nights and took advantage of the full hookups. For $15 /night we couldn't beat it. The sites are cement paved with a grill, picnic table and bench. Very nicely maintained grass with good size sites.
The lake has fishing - catch and release only. No water sports are allowed in the lake (including swimming your dogs) as there is currently an algae problem.
But we still enjoyed the view and peacefulness of the area. Took advantage of the walking trails and enjoyed the multitude of birds.
This park was also patrolled regularly. We were here over a weekend and there was no issues with people hanging out or partying here. Would definitely stay here again if need be.
