Frances Lake Government Camp

We travelled the Campbell hwy in a 23 ft towable and found it better than expected road conditions. Mind you we didn’t have any rain. The campground has half the sites waterfront, many with direct access to the lakeshore. Typical Yukon CG with vault toilets, Free Firewood, Trash and water is on boil order as it comes directly from the lake. We fished from shore with no luck! It’s bear country so be vigilant and keep a clean campsite. We were in in mid June and majority of the campers were seasonal mushroom pickers. Campground was only half full, mainly the waterfront sites all got taken by end of day and the other side looked barely used, slightly overgrown.
