Enjoyed my time here at the campground. Although there were some people also in the campground, I did not have any neighbors on either side, so it was nice and peaceful.
Pros:
Nice trails for hiking
Multiple toilet locations
Clean and quiet
Not very busy
Lots of firewood can be collected near the campsites
Cons:
Dirt road in is long and crappy (gets worse the further in you get)
No water
The sites are very close together in some parts and privacy would be very limited if you have neighbors
Someone had cleaned out the fire ring and dumped all of the ash next to it. It was impossible to use the fire ring without stepping in it, which then got tracked all over the place.

The thing to keep in mind is you must go 7 miles down a rough, washboard, single lane dirt road. Would NOT want to do it during rain. We have 2 wheel drive but 4 wheel preferred. The drive down the dirt road took us 70 minutes in first and second gear.
Campsite #12 included two picnic tables, 2 firerings. Multiple pit toilets nearby. Excellent remote camping experience!

Stayed in Early June. I am not a super experienced camper, so I don't have a lot to compare this site with. It is not suitable for RVs any larger than Class Bs. My short wheelbase mid roof van stuck out a bit. Vehicles with *small* trailers -could- get in and out on the group side. The whole campground is has about 25 spots, divided into 2 areas. The lower cluster is the group site, a little exposed, and to the left are about 15 sites that generally only fit one car. The campground was clean, quiet and there was only one other car (in the group area) when I got there. It is about 7 miles down a dirt road, but accessible to campers in regular passenger cars and vans- unless there've been heavy rains. I was originally headed to the next campground (Bosque), but on this road beyond the 4th of July site you *will* need 4wd. For some reason, the next campers that came in were a young couple who pulled in and set up camp right next to me even though ALL the other sites in that half of the campground were empty - I have no idea why. So that was a bit of a bummer. Vault toilets were clean, but just "okay". No water that I saw. I'd say about 6 sites (total) were occupied by the time I left on Sunday morning. Plenty of uncrowded and decent hiking options.
