Just here for an overnight but I wished we had more time. Clean and quiet. A hiking trail off the campground, and lots further around the park. Somewhere there’s campground internet, but we registered online, came in on a Sunday and didn’t have the password. Weak data is the only downgrade, at least for Verizon.

We dry camped back in the tent loop for privacy. Was wonderful as we were the only folks back there. Very level site surrounded by forest. Bathhouse was close and had nice hot showers. Would highly recommend site 29 if you like privacy.

This is a great place to camp. The place was pretty full for a Saturday night in late November then cleared out on Sunday morning. The bathrooms were clean and the campground, in general, had a taken care of feel to it.

Cell service pretty much non-existent but you’re camping, so who needs it! The museum, trails, fort, and lake are all must see. Experience history during the day and relax by a campfire at night if your fairly private site. Well spaced and clean sites…definitely worth it!

We loved this park but be prepared It’s pretty far from from any highway. Awesome walking trails and the place was immaculate. Camping area is small but clean with super level concrete pads. Only downside was no cell service or satellite and very little internet.

Limited number of RV sites and we booked late, so ended up parking next to a tent site and plugging in. RV sites were nice. Lots of trees and view of the Mississippi River. Lots of hiking trails to explore. We were one of three RVs here so it was nice and quiet. Park ranger came by and asked us if we needed anything. Very nice and very helpful. He also told us some civil war history about the area. Site is off the beaten path but worth it for the peace and quiet. Would stop here again If ever in the area.

Had a pull through site. Clean park with good trails. Steep incline on the road in to the campground. My F-350 did well. Me on a bike, not so well. Rangers deliver wood at a cost if you want it. Definitely would recommend this park.

We stayed here 3 nights, we were the only ones in the whole campground (last weekend of September 2019) Private bathroom/shower rooms with hot water and flush toilets. Good drinking water. Nice paved pads, fire rings, grill and picnic tables with hooks for lanterns at site. Electric and water at sites. Beautiful sunsets over the cliffs. Armadillos and woodpeckers were our visitors. The Park Rangers and Workers were friendly and checked in with us a couple times in the day/evening.
The road in/out will take you past the State Penitentiary and into Fort Pillow. The road was a little scary if we had a trailer or a bigger Rig. We have a truck bed camper and we drove in just fine. With the narrow roads it could have been difficult to fit if there was oncoming traffic, but for us we were the only ones in the road.
Bathroom and showers were pretty clean, could have used a good sweeping behind garbage in bathroom and under the shower bench (some dead bugs) not complaining too much because private and Hot water! :)
They have a Haunted Maze for family in October. Also museum, butterfly gardens and trails. There was a lot more to see that we did not get a chance to experience but enjoyed the peace and quiet.
