“Perfect stop for a road trip!”

I’m on a road trip with a friend from WA to NH and we stopped here for the night. The site was BEAUTIFUL! We were the only ones in the campground and it was so peaceful! The creek was right next to the campsites, so all night long you could hear it bubbling away. We had a small two person tent and it worked perfectly, though I imagine one could get a small camper back there.

I HIGHLY recommend this spot for anyone driving through, or even to stay a night or two. There is only a pit toilet in the area, so keep that in mind. Don’t be put off by the long dirt road to get there, it’s worth it for the site. For those in a trailer, the dirt road for the majority is very even and well kept—but the last couple miles it was pretty bumpy.

There was no cell service out there, at least for at&t.

Probably one of the prettiest sites we have stayed at, it's only a few miles up the road from big pine (another free site) and there are a few dispersed campsites along the road getting here, plenty of sites for larger rigs no verizon but if you place it right you can get satellite (dish) and so much to do around here river, hiking and exploring jeep trails!!!!

watch the video to see this incredible site! this is a 2 part video part one is the campground part 2 is exploring the area in the jeep.
