“Road Closed For Season”

Overall Rating
The drive up the canyon was beautiful. We really wanted to stay here. But the road is closed (locked gate) at the beginning of the FS832 (end of city camping area). Ended up staying at Rifle Falls although we couldn't reserve a spot there, you have to call or reserve online. But there was no cell connection, so we had to drive out of the canyon to reserve the last spot and then drive back. Once the weather warms up, I think we will be back.
The canyon has lots of climbers and is really pretty. Rifle falls is an awesome hike and Rifle arch is cool too (probably about thirty minutes away). The road up was dirt, but was in pretty good condition. Pretty narrow and one low spot.

Overall Rating
It’s a little bit of a drive from the freeway, maybe 40 mins. The last 20 on a dirt road but beautiful plateau once you get there. No cell service with Verizon.
